OcUK H²Flo Liquid CPU Cooler - IN STOCK NOW! (now with benchmarks)

actually

was £38.99

then £36.99 (for 1 day)

then jump to £49.99

now £41.99

I got it at the £37 price, should be coming today.

Its like the furniture sales they advertise on tv! Poor show by ocuk to be putting the price up and then pretending to cut it back! Its still £37.99 on their competitors page and if they dont un DFS sale it I'll get it from there.

Just loads of bubble wrap,My rad did have a couple of bent fins but i managed to fix them,My only problem is it arrived with no instructions.

Was the radiator protected in any way at all? Surely not 'just' padded envelope then the radiators metal fins?

nope, not as far as I can see(the cooler was just in clear plastic), will take a photo and upload it later.
a quick glance at it doesn't show any damage).

its one of those large white padded envalopes.

ironic thing is it says coolit eco-ii on the label on the rad :)

That's because that's what they are :p
OEM I think, though if they're being manufactured for OCUK, It would have been cool if there logo was on.
Regardless, Ace Modder has addressed the packaging query quite well.

Hey.

Our Warehouse should not be shipping these in a padded envelope. They were instructed for them to be shipping in a box with air bags for protection.

I have spoken to my warehouse manager and the whip has come out! This will not happen again. If you have any issue with your Cooler, please let me know and I will sort you out :)

Yup, good work Ace :-) Last thing you want is returns due to damage in transit. Also.. well done for putting the price down again. I would point out that it's the same price as the kuhler though and that came with a fan (at the previous £49.99), so it wouldn't make sense to buy this over the kuhler is it's the same price (just my thoughts anyway).

Trying to decide whether to buy this now or not to replace my Hyper 212.

well mine arrive just a little earlier, not exactly well packaged no box just poped in a paded envalope.

Me too, my radiator fins took a bit of damage, you can see where I think the cooling block or packaging for the Sharkoon fan has hit it and bent one or two fins and one area where about 4 fins are bent due to it hitting something, took a little bit of paint off too.

It arrived in a plastic bag, inside a 'cushion' of bubblewrap, but the things inside it (cooler, IC, fans) were just all together.

It's working ok (as you can see from the pics above) but still, if people are paying full £50 (I paid the £38 value when first announced) for this, they should expect proper packaging. Wish I just got a lift and picked it up myself (I live nearby) but I've got no means of transport this week.

Sort it out OCUK!

If anyone needs installation instructions, I used this. It's exactly the same.

They're not manufactured exclusively for OcUK, it's being manufactured as Cool.IT Eco-II (sold by a few retailers) and then rebranded as Corsair H60 for Corsair.

The reviewer didn't say the H80 damaged the motherboard as such.
[cut]
He reckons that the motherboard overheated during the overclock because of that.

Exactly.
But summarizing - dual fan configurations shouldn't be allowed to mount in typical place - where exhausting 120mm fan pulls warm air outside the case (rear top). It should be clearly stated in any instruction as there's no way (at this moment, at least, or until vendors start to move fan mounting points in radiator a little bit lower, or add some fins to make some bottom airflow to cool mobo power section) to effective cooling the power section covered by radiator and fan, which may lead - as described - to motherboard damage under o/c, or even long work. Side case fan, it fitted, can't do anything, I'm afraid.

Hi guys

So i managed to figure out how to install the cooler and i have to say for what i payed (£36.99) I am really impressed i ran prime 95 for about 4 hours and my highest temp was 73,It's cooling my i5 760 @4ghz with 1.312v What more can i say it knocked my akasa venom into fits!

Not bad but my ultra 120 does a better job than that! Not worth me upgrading then for sure!

Bare in mind this was as soon as the cooler was installed,I'll have to give my as5 a little time to cure probably wont make a great deal of difference though,Im using an akasa venom fan and iv'e set it to run that slow it's hardly spinning (i hate noise),Im sure if i turned the fan speed up i would see a huge difference,But tbh i really don't need to.
