I'm wondering how the FTW lighting is setup by default as it potentially forces you to use precision x over afterburner if it's in Christmas tree mode.

Well, there's no news on AB supporting the new Pascal modes and pretty sure you can setup the LEDs and then close Precision anyway, so yeah should still have the choice in the long run

Its got thier AURA software stamped on it. I would imagine you would use the independent AURA software used for their motherboards and precision and AB still for OC;ing.

Went for the Gigabyte extreme after all. Looks to have two 8 Pins and I prefer the appearance over the Evga. I just hope it has a nice black backplate but there aren't any pictures of it yet.

Have a gander at the MSI aero 1080.

Backplate or nah? Picture 3 looks like nah, picture 7 shows something on the back.
Tom's Hardware's little chart here says it won't have one:

I'd be very surprised if it did as the 'budget' model. The Sea Hawk uses the same blower and will have one, so perhaps there was some mixup with leaving the backplate on for that particular shot or something.

I may just go back to Precision X for ease if I end up getting one as it's all built in. I do like Afterburner for the OSD in games though.

The way he pulled apart that cooler's fan cables. You can tell for him its just another card

I would be in there with tweezers and all sorts :p

Haha yeah, I winced a bit when I saw him do that!

Looks like a lovely card indeed, but for me I've gone with the EVGA FTW.

I don't understand why it says 3rd June for the SC on the website and now Ben from evga is stating the 9th. Very disappointing

They hit an overclock ceiling of 2.2ghz on the strix when he tested it from what I've read nvidia have harlocked the gpu voltage at 1.25v so no 2.4ghz

what does that mean? is that not a good card?

Its odd that the card in question is watercooler and yet only one power connector.

The other cards have two power connectors.

You would have thought that the seahawk being under wtaer would have 2

Its just looks like the aero card but with a corsair cooler bolted on...
