they will inevitably get it, I can understand the frustration of people waiting. OCUK doing their best, evga communicating which is good.

Lets just hope a lesson is learnt from this and future product launches have stock in large bulk made ready to go on launch date.

But the difference is EVGA are way way better at communication, Ben keeps me informed and he post on here. That goes a long way even when the news delivered is not so great.

Communication is everything, even when news is bad.

Asus have being shockingly poor with communications and if it was not for one guy in Asus UK HQ we'd be more in the dark than we already are.

At this point I think Asus should just be upfront, say they can't meet demand for the OC Strix. For now at least, take it off the market and concentrate on their other 2 variants.

People will inevitably be annoyed and it won't look good for the Asus branding. Though neither will months trailing by, orders not being fulfilled, while other manufacturers fulfill all pre-orders.

Absolutely. If i hadn't of been committed to the Strix by watercooling choices I would have switched. I reckon I would have been waiting another month, maybe two tbh.

Thankfully I had the option (thank YOU) to switch from the OC version and, at this point, I don't honestly care about OC'ing with two cards in SLI.

EVGA Jacob tweeted yesterday that the Hybrid 1080 will 'definitely' be available this month 'in limited quantity'.

What does this mean for OCUK's preorders, if anything? Can Gibbo or Ben give any indication as to when these cards will be available here following the initial 'limited' release by EVGA?

Managed to speak to someone while sat at work (hopefully wont be shot) and he spoke to StigBourne who is already on the case. I love Overclockers customer service they are the best around.
