I honestly wouldn't touch an asus strix without seeing some video showing fan acoustics under gaming load. I know mine are annoyingly loud in either single or dual config, possible they've actually sorted it for the 1080.
ASUS doesn't put any R&D into their fans. The STRIX uses basic/cheap fans with no flow or noise quieting elements on the blades. It will be loud which defeats the purpose of a AIB cooler...
Same monies - FTW. EVGA will be quieter, those tripple fan solutions are noisy, won't buy windforce again.
My triple fan cooler on the MSI Lightning 980Ti was the best GPU air cooler I've ever seen. Could keep 1520 MHz core at 62C in near silence.
