So you guys all know that your £600+ given to overclockers is now gaining interest in their pockets when it could be in yours? Yeah just let that settle in.

We haven't gotten our hands on it. In my mind that's a loan. I disagree with the money being taken out straight away in this particular scenario.

I'm going to do the same, but tomorrow instead. Probably going to drive to the local PC hardware enthusiast store and pick up a FE which is just an extra 20 quid over the FTW.

Not really interested in overclocking, just liked the look of the FTW and it was cheaper too.

Prices was set when rate was 1.45, it's now 1.40 so of course prices go up on the lines where margin is tighter.

Those who pre-ordered get the original price honoured.

I wonder if we would have got a reduction had the exchange gone the other way

1070&1080 don't really overclock that great anyway from what's been reported so far.

I was under the impression we were paying upfront to pre-order the card so we get our grubby little hands on these new cards first and don't have to wait till Nvidia decide to release more non reference cards.

But i am a little disappointed in being charged £649:99p for the MSI 1080x when they are now on pre-order for £629,99p hopefully its a price error and Overclockers will return the £20 difference.

Strange thing is, OC Staff openly see and reply in this thread, yet ETA's are still 17th. EVGA Hybrid, im looking at you. Must be pulling in the last few sales from poor unsuspecting folk before they inevitably whack it back to 17th July.

Its comments like this that worry me in retail sometime.. please Gibbo don't take this the wrong way but please don't sound like your doing any of us who pre-ordered a 'favour' by honoring the original price.. you advertised a product at a price and have TAKEN the money even though we have no product..

I'm pretty sure legally you couldn't decide to charge us a higher pre-order price just because the exchange rate has gone up because the transaction has already been done.

I'm not feeling particularly confident about receiving my Zotac Amps (not extreme) any time soon. Though it does seem that there hasn't been much discussion about this card so the queue is possibly shorter.

@Ben evga - just be more clear with us. This has been poorly executed and our expectations poorly managed.

I understand it's not your fault but really you are trying to control collateral by feeding snippets and loose promises. 10-14 days.
Just be real and tell us the actual date or don't say anything at all.. at least then your not lying.

They would've been with us today but DPD messed up when collecting from OcUK so actually it'll be tomorrow now. We have tracking info so the signs are good.

I tried a little voltage overclocking earlier and was sitting pretty at 2150mhz till half way through AoTS bench. I am sure with some fiddling here and there I can get 2150 or 2130Mhz stable. Just need to work out the best voltages to get but not that fussed in truth.
