** OcUK HITS THE LOWEST PRICES IN UK ON EVERY SINGLE GPU!! **

OMG Gibbo, that is an insane price for MSI 290 with the discount code applied! i paid like £360 when they were released
grab it up quick guys you know you want to, its one of the best 290s out there!

On the RMA front, OcUK is a great store, the free delivery is exceptional and the forums are a wonderful addition. However I was stung before returning a faulty GTX 670, I had to pay for the delivery, pay a charge for it being not faulty, pay for OcUK to return it to me. Then after a few phone calls I had to pay for it to be delivered to OcUK once again, it was then deemed faulty. This ended up costing me about £50 all in, almost 20% the value of the item.

On the other hand, I've returned a GPU back to another retailer because I didn't like the fan noise, return delivery was pre paid and completely free, and I had a full refund within 4/5 days of postage.

I don't mean to slate OcUK as I've had a great experience getting small items replaced, but for RMA and returns the rainforest has been absolutely unbeatable.

Great to see you becoming more competitive on prices though, my GTX 680 is proving perfectly capable at the moment.

Things have changed drastically in our returns now, where if items are faulty we will cover shipping cost or even have the item collected for you with our own couriers. We have improved our online customer service ratings from what was some of the worse in the UK now upto the no.1 position. :)

Nice, some deals on the custom cooled 4GB 770. Now I'll have a very hard time deciding between them or the 970.

Can you give any idea as to how long the 770 4GB deal will last (specifically the gigabyte one)

*edit*
oh, its only the MSI one, thats a shame. The oil spewing fans have kind of put me off of MSI, whereas the great service gigabyte can provide to the UK, plus the slightly quieter cooler, makes me want to go with gigabyte

The issue was the fact it was deemed not faulty, so I had to pay for the test and it being redelivered too me. It wasn't till I bought a brand new Corsair AX750 and Asus P67 Sabertooth that I phoned and insisted it was the GPU that was faulty and it was agreed and refunded.

These other companies use Royal Mail. It comes within 2 days, you know that.

OcUK often have the option during checkout to even use Royal Mail instead of your courier but you charge for it. Whereas your biggest competitors give that free. for places in UK mainland certainly that your courier assumes is a isolated island, I think Royal Mail should be a genuine option as they deliver to these places at no extra cost and with none of the BS the couriers give.

I accept this is NOT an OcUK fault. It's the couriers. But I just suggest you edit the information so people are not expecting it and get stung like I did as it's a sore subject for us that live in these stupid places.

e8uyer use Yodel actually, who are atrocious. They are solely responsible for the demolition of an item I ordered from them a few weeks ago. And RMAing was then a major pain in the ass.

Yes I know no stock and dates moved from 31st Aug to 12th Sep and all in-between but I am not in hurry and the few that seem to have developed issues here give me worry so best to wait a bit. :)

As I say big changes have being made in our tech support and customer service areas. To deliver a far higher level of service and it is working as can be seen by our no.1 position on Trust Pilot and Review Centre, we were one of the worse on there and we've turned it around. :)

Yeah, I initially wouldn't buy from OCUK because of the reports of bad support/RMA, but a year or so ago the reports started changing a lot and I decided to give it a shot. It's now one of the best, though to be fair all but S*an are pretty good on the list.

I have used OCUK since 2001/02 (2 man outfit in a small unit/hut basically).

I have had all RMA's dealt with to my satisfaction but had to go on phone and do a bit of debating to get my way at times.

Always got my money back for return postage if a fault.

They have improved a great deal though.

I've never had Yodel with them.

And any time I have had Yodel they have been fine. About 6 times this year. Never a problem. Although, I think it was Yodel who left my HP Microserver on the doorstep at 10am when I was at work all day.....

I have some birthday cash spare and that MSI 290 is speaking to me, a worthy upgrade from a 7850 2GB, but I do have my holidays in a couple of weeks to think about.

Would an antec trupower 650W be enough with a i5 760 at 4GHz?

You should see a good performance boost, your PSU will be fine :)

Got my msi 770 gaming from bolton 2 weeks ago for £206 delivered (was a today deal) and came with borderlands the presequel, WAS quite chuffed with that...
Until i noticed im getting a lot of coil whine/buzzing noise, emailed them, got a reply back
"Turn on vsync" haha
They have normally been excellent (returned a couple of things to them both AMD graphic cards) but this as left a nasty taste in the mouth...
3 days to get a "turn on vsync" response, im now out of the return for refund etc

I wouldnt mind but i alway have vsync on haha

Looks like ill have to try msi customer support or flog it, and get a replacement..
The noise isnt loud but its annoying knowing its there..

As for the nvidia prices, they are very good... Although not on so called 'decent branded' card, but i have an msi and this is first problem i have had with both nvidia and msi
