a lot of people turning this into a negative... too far, too expensive, already have a job.... you obviously dont want the job enough then? :p

This sounds like a fantastic opportunity which I'll have a bash at head on! OK it'll either be a 2 hour return daily commute (used to travel to Stoke daily anyway) or we'll move. I have a missus and a baby but since this is something I want a chance at doing for the rest of my life (and have for years) its no big deal. Rest of the family will still only be a drive away.

Anyhoo, my application has been sent off and I'll wait patiently with fingers crossed. :)
Good luck. Dunno how you could manage with a family on that wage though :o We struggle on mine

OTE for the Product Specialist's position is more like £30-50K, depending on experience.

There is no closing date for either position. We want the best and will wait for the right candidates.

Out of curiousity's sake, how far is OCUK from Notts? There's a chance we may be moving there next year.

I actually travel from Derby everyday (well 9 miles from the City Centre) and it really doesn't take that long. It does depend where in Nottinghamshire you are thinking of though.

Its actually 'How good are things there?'.
I think we have the cheapest property in the country according to Location Location Location.
If I can earn 16k a year that will be enough to keep my family going.
Stoke for the win.

Agreed, houses are extremely cheap in decent parts of stoke on trent and outskirts, a 3 bed detached can be had for around £140k and you get plenty of greenery around you.

It'd be the east side, really :/

Near the A46/A52 intersection...

total distance: 60.04 miles (96.63 km)

1 hour, 22 minutes...

What's the A52/A50 like for commuting...?

The A50 is absolutely fine as long as you hit Stoke by around 8am. Any later and it comes to a stop. The A52 can be a bit of pain but there's plenty of shortcuts to avoid it.
