This sounds like a fantastic opportunity which I'll have a bash at head on! OK it'll either be a 2 hour return daily commute (used to travel to Stoke daily anyway) or we'll move. I have a missus and a baby but since this is something I want a chance at doing for the rest of my life (and have for years) its no big deal. Rest of the family will still only be a drive away.

Anyhoo, my application has been sent off and I'll wait patiently with fingers crossed.

Good luck. Dunno how you could manage with a family on that wage though

I moved 200 miles for a £20K job 5 years ago, I'm on several times that now so it was a worthwhile move for me.

OTE for the Product Specialist's position is more like £30-50K, depending on experience.

There is no closing date for either position. We want the best and will wait for the right candidates.

I actually travel from Derby everyday (well 9 miles from the City Centre) and it really doesn't take that long. It does depend where in Nottinghamshire you are thinking of though.

Don't go there much, but i'd have thought that 20k was something that a just out of College/uni kid would expect as a starter job. I'm by no means a spoilt little rich kid or rich by any means btw.

I think we have the cheapest property in the country according to Location Location Location.
If I can earn 16k a year that will be enough to keep my family going.

Agreed, houses are extremely cheap in decent parts of stoke on trent and outskirts, a 3 bed detached can be had for around £140k and you get plenty of greenery around you.

The A50 is absolutely fine as long as you hit Stoke by around 8am. Any later and it comes to a stop. The A52 can be a bit of pain but there's plenty of shortcuts to avoid it.
