Damn, I wish I wasn't working a long day today. If anyone's up for a repeat run tomorrow night, I'd be muchos gracias - as it is, I won't be home until about 11 tonight :(

Sweet. One aspect of the runekeeper I love is that I can switch from DPS to healer spec in between fights, and even during a fight in about 10 seconds. Only problem is that the only experience I really have as a healer is spamming the skills to get deeds before I log off at night.

We may have to pad the party with randomers if few people wanna re-run, but it shouldn't be a problem. What's your char name again? I know the forum names are listed in player nites, but I haven't figured out how to read them yet...

I'm off out tonight, and no doubt we'll be doing it again soon enough.

On a dif note, the mrs is starting a guardian tomorrow, not sure on time but maybe early evening, so if anyone wants to join from start be cool. Might even start another one myself, be fun to have a group racing thtough the lower stuff.

I noticed I'm leveling a lot faster then a few years ago, maybe its the quest helper or is it generally lower on the XP required. I'm doing stuff round chetwood forest and before I knew it i'd outgrown the area with quests left undone.

In the kin panel, the last column is something like date joined or something, if you click the title it changes between online status/note/ etc

(trying to remember:) )

so to confirm you guys are on server - Laurelin and have a kinship called Old Council to the Undying Kings?

i've bin on lotro since launch, but no one i know plays (they're all still on wow), so in a grand total of 3 years play i have managed to level 3 characters to only lvl 22 :P

maybe if I come join you guys it'll spur me on to experience more of the game as i do enjoy it more than other MMO's.

You are more than welcome mate, the officer list is on the previous page so you will undoubtedly find one of us online.

I keep saying it but everyone else who is interested get involved with the kin. This is one week in and we are topping over 30 players and this is 30 players from here who are friendly so it's a great atmosphere!

@ Toneh I would be interested in re-rolling as I am not that enamoured with the minstrel as time goes by. Just keep me in the loop with your plans.

Great response for tonight guys, very impressed with the uptake. This will be the first event of many. I'll be sorting an in game kin meet as and when the website is finished. Get everyone online together!

That'll work. Toneh, what race is she starting? I've got low level dwarf and man that are only just out of the newbie area, so I'll be happy to run some starter quests on either. Though to my recollection, Bree-land is the only place with a low-level fellowship recommended quest. Regardless, It'd be fun to be in a band of noobs massacring the Blackwold stronghold :)

Edit: Just in case anyone thinks we're exaggerating Kay's presence, this is what our current roster looks like on http://ocuk.mmoguildsites.com/characters

Not sure on race, happy to do what people want. Her main on snowborne was an elf and a hobbit, so I dont think she's actaully done a (wo)Man char from start. I'll ask her tonight. She's already started a taxi(hunter). :)

I might do a Min, help lvl faster, and pay back for all the healing she did on my chump.

I'm liking the sound of this. I have only seen my family members play the game and as of yet to try it, but this could give me a nice urge to try it out after my exams.

One thing I hated about Wow was the lack of community relations, usually guilds I joined consisted of isolated pockets of people and that was that, very frustrating and boring.

yes nothing worse then playing a mmorpg and thinking you are the only one. When i used to play Ryzom, I'd (and many others) would spend hours digging, sad really. But you did it because you were chatting etc, so didn't seem a grind.

Jump on the 14 day trial m8, gotta be worth a try.

Newts, any chance my alt (now my main) could get Officer status tonight? Keep having to log in as Hal if I want to do anything. Chars name is Amdeal.

Also, anyone up for a thread name change to reflect the kin a bit more? Still doesn't sound... lotroey(?) enough :p.

Decided I'm going to give this a miss. Recently I just can't get into any game at all... I think I'm going through a phase. :(

We had a great guild event back in THC, on the WoWboat between generic continent A and generic Continent B. The idea was to load up the boat, sit around, get drunk and watch contenders bare-knuckle fist fight in peasant trousers. Something a bit out of the ordinary, to be sure.

Well we have a great little community so far and when combined with a great game this is the most fun I have had on an mmo since vanilla wow.

Let us know when you want on board and you will be more than welcome!

Toneh let's all roll hobbits! Would love to have a full hobbit group running around!
