*****OcUk London Photography Meet WITH STARS!!! November 3rd*****

I know we said it at Dim T, but thanks again to Phate for arranging this meet. Was good to meet everyone. Everyone was friendly enough which made it easier to walk around in the cold! I hope everyone got the shots they wanted. There was a lot of opportunity for candid street shots, up close architectural shots and wide cityscape too.

The restaurant was great, at the right time in the day too, and the food was fine. I don't know how mrk has never had a prawn cracker before though. ..

We really must do it when it is warmer. I've seen a lot of London but I'm always happy for the meet and the munch. There was talk of going down to the coast? Who knows...

Where's the shot of you all photographing your food at the table?

Not quite photographing our food but cameras....and a Sony (:D:D)...on the table, the food took a while to arrive!

I took that shot, just got in about an hour ago and importing pics into LR.

The day was enjoyable but a bit chilly especially after the sun set and anywhere in the shade! My hands were feeling like ice. It was also really good to meet the people behind the usernames, I look forward to the next one!

Thanks for sorting this out Phate, Dim T was excellent, great tasting food!

Edit*

WTF Paps everywhere I went!

Looks like you all had a good time, would love to go but work every saturday :(

Plus with all those top of the line cameras it would make my sony look like a cheap throw away :)

Don't let all those expensive Canon's fool you.

These guys have all the gear but no idea. ;):D:p

Sony man was actually babysitting the 5D3 crew at Hays Galleria for about 30 minutes. The rest of us were cast aside with our inferior photography equipment :p

They were confused because there are a million menus. I have one button I'm interested in :p

Holy mother of god, I look 7 months pregnant.

Fortunately its the 16-50 I'd just stuck in my front pocket as it was too entertaining watching the 5DIII noobs struggle with the menu system to stow it away properly :D

Hey! Hey hey hey..... We were looking for one menu Canon had renamed and moved from mk2 to mk3!

Liking that pic Clown! New profile pic time later on!

I am feeling like my 1d is getting old now but not sure I want to upgrade to anything tbh. I think my photos look reasonable but I get the feeling they look dated perhaps...not sure what I mean myself. I guess they don't pop as much

I also have a panasonic GF1 based m43rds setup which was expensive.

Its crazy how fast things are moving in camera side of things.

I think it's more you're longing for something a bit more modern perhaps? Although you did say the noise performance wasn't great above 1000 :(

It certainly looks the part though!

My pics are still being sifted through, will upload the set a bit later on!

Which 1D is it? I don't think its possible to go back to a smaller camera when you start getting use to the how rugged the professional bodies are!

Its a mark 2, I actually think its too big personally, I would quite like a full frame camera though as I'm used to the big viewfinder now so 5D would be minimum tbh
