OcUK Mafia game thread -Game 5

I have an apology to make, I ****** up last night. After I switched to Malteser I assume that things were pretty much wrapped up and went to have dinner. Came back to find things had gone nuts. Doesn't seem like my vote would have made a difference but I still feel bad. I need to re-read the last few pages and work out where I stand now, malteser being the jailkeeper took me by surprised, I really thought he would have made a stronger defence last night :/

Chris atm is the only garunteed townie, he called out he was tracker, no one opposed. It is pudney shami or Brabbinho.

I am certain pudney is Mafia, if you look at the previous voting shami voted for Brabb making one of them town and one of them mafia and pudney the other mafia member.

The mafia members are going to push to get me lynched as they have tried to set me up, they did it to 47 last round.

You call someone out quickly yesterday (Malteser) for having a "lust for blood" and then proceed to vote quickly for me today. I voted for Malt as well but changed because of Chris, why would I then NK him? Surely your argument works the same for me?

If I was mafia I would have NKd Brabbs.

Yes my arguement works for you to, which is why you will probably vote for me.

Put it this way, unless the tracker is shami which i assume it isnt as he hasn't instantly voted chris. Chris is town. I know i'm town and that leaves shami brabb and you. Shami voted for brabb making one of them town and one of them mafia as Mafia never vote mafia first. Unless Shami and Brabb are the mafia and shami's vote for brabb is fake..... which i assume it isnt, i dont think mafia would vote for mafia first incase a bandwagon starts.
 
Ok I've read through the thread again and made some notes.

We basically have to assume that Chris is town, unless he's making some huge play and the real tracker is brain dead :p

So that leaves two mafia out of me, Leprechaun, Pudney and Brabbinho.

Obviously I know I'm town, but then we're all saying that.

I've been suspicious of Brabbinho for a couple of days now, his posting style screams 'act' to me. Lot's of nominations based on 'feelings' and 'hunches' but not much to back it up. Lots of 'if I was mafia would I do this?' behaviour which seems to me like the best place for a mafia to hide.

Pudney has voted quite a bit but seems to have stayed fairly neutral on most things, I didn't make a lot of comments on his posts other than him being slightly hesitant to vote day 2.

Leprechaun has been very active, has generally been pro town in behaviour (calling out votes without reasoning, encouraging discussion etc) Initially he though Brabbinho was the tracker but then seemed to be leaning towards suspicions towards Pudney and Brabbinho (I'm ignoring any behaviour towards dead people)

I'm still feeling Brabbinho is my prime suspect when it comes to being mafia. I'd say I'm about 85% that he's one of the mafia. The other two, I think Leprechaun is probably town (maybe 60:40 in my head) Pudney I'm about 60:40 is mafia. It get's harder to blend in the less people there are and it still feels like he's trying to do that.

As the only confirmed townie, I am going to keep my opinions to myself for now as I need to see how the other players react to each other first. Once the situation is clear I will interact.

yeah dicussion is what we need, not neutrality, we need your thoughts, where you stand otherwise were dead. A quiet town makes a dead town
 
You will get my thoughts soon enough, but I want to hear from Pudney and Brabbinho first - I'm not going to influence them or let anyone piggyback on a known townie's ideas.

I don't stay neutral to avoid opinions, I stay neutral because you need to retain an element of doubt over everyone. In my mafia game I purposely got one player (Egon) on side and maintained that throughout. Because I convinced him early I was town it kept me safe. Because of that, I assume everyone could be playing that game.

Chris for example, I'm fairly happy he's town, but there's still the possibility the real tracker is staying quiet. I doubt it, but you have to keep the option open as you have to be ready to change a view in this game.

Saying that, it leaves 3 people who are potential mafia - Brabbs, Shami and Leprechaun. Personally, and until he posts, Brabbs seems to be pro town throughout. It could be a double bluff. but Leprechaun's attack on Malt's "lust for blood" and then doing the same is inconsistent and Shami whilst not obviously anti-town has been a lot of jokes and not much productive.
 
Jokes? Other than day one I haven't really joked. There's a lot of jokes day one because there needs to be conversation but nobody really knows what to say and is worried about everyone jumping on them if they post first.

I can't check as I posted first at work where I can't check the thread properly and now I'm on a train, but I think a lot of your posts are jokes or come across that way.
 
So Malteser is dead. I can't say I'm surprised as that killing doesn't really tell us anything as to who is mafia.

For my part I'm sorry 47 is gone. With the short notice we were given it was hard to come to an alternative.

If Chris is town, and I have no reason to doubt him, then they are 3 options for mafia. Shami, Pudney and Leprechaun. If Chris is lying about being the tracker someone needs to speak up soon.

So my thoughts:

Leprechaun?: warned us not to lynch 47. He is also playing very differently to when he was mafia.

Pudney has done nothing to set my senses jingling and seems pretty pro town.

Shami hasn't played as aggressively as normal which could be something in nothing but it had made me suspicious most of the way through. I think I've mentioned this before.

Now 2 of the above have to be mafia, but who?

I'd have to say Shami and one other unless the other two are playing a very clever game...

As for me I'd like to think I've been pro town the whole way through. I've led the voting to get discussion going on both days.and whilst you may argue my reasons are hunches, what else can one go on?
 
Wait, didn't people have a go at me last time for not playing aggressively? Which is it :p Last time I was too passive on day one and two which lead to the 'alliance' against me.
 
Ok, so
Lep -> Brab, no comment on 2nd
Brab -> Shami, unsure on 2nd
Pudney -> Lep and Shami
Shami -> Brab, Pudney

I want to hear who Lep and Brab think is the 2nd mafia member. Yes, we don't have to decide it tonight but it is valuable information.
 
Neither Pudney or Leprechaun have done anything glaringly mafia esque. I'll have to reread their posts and see if I have missed anything.

Pudney is very good and plays the same way as either mafia or town so he is hard to read. As I've stated Leprechaun is acting very differently and I dont know if it's tactics or a maturing style. I think prob the latter
