Yes thats useful as I'll be driving down from the parent-in-laws in Pendle. I can pick someone up on route if needed.

Lets just finalise it for arguments sake otherwise we'll never get there .

It looks like I will be doing the ride on my winter bike, which whilst obviously heavier is at least a triple (currently - converting to a compact later).

I'm assuming we're doing the below to be honest but that's really because it's my route p) and there hasn't been any new suggestions posted since. Obviously if it's a problem feel free to make adjustments.

Depending on how fast we are I may be able to go further. I don't want to leave anyone in the lurch but this commitment isn't one I can get out of without being really ****** to a very old friend.

I not going to make the trip with the current weather forecast. It's grim riding in the peaks when its raining.

I'll be keeping an eye on it tomorrow and hoping it changes.

For me it's not far to the start point so I'll be making it out to at least say hi But I can understand wanting to avoid the bad weather if you're further out.
