OcUK Minecraft Server - Rules & Chat

How are people limiting access to their mines? I have quite an extensive system now and I'm just curious as to the best way of letting people know when they stray into my area...

Well all my mines are lit with torches and the occasional sign. I'd like to think that if someone tunnels into one of my mines, they'll see that someone is here and not do anything destructive. That may be thinking to positive of people but at least I've raped my mines of the visible minerals :).
 
Am randomly joining some other online servers at the moment while I wait to be whitelisted and I just always CBA to walk for ages in the dark to find somewhere I can eventually build in. I hope ocuk isn't like that. They all have mods to protect all the trees etc as well so I couldn't even find a tree to cut down!

If you're talking about caves then I believe they're fair game and no one owns them - due to the fact they can be very long and have several openings on the surface.

If you're talking about a strip mine then I guess that's different, but no one would have an interest in a strip mine anyway.
 
Oh btw, for your theme park you should put a massive lava death drop in the rollercoaster. I did it in my own world. You make it go up as high as the sky limit and then make the cart free fall for a hundred blocks or so and you have a big pit of lava where the lava covers all but 2 blocks ( takes a long time to get perfect) you have the cart land where the two blocks are so it falls through the lava and under it is underground rails that you carry on along. Could have water falls going down either side.
