How come 0x10c and Castle Story are listed under Minecraft clones, when neither really are? Castle Story should probably be under strategy/RTS and 0x10c possibly under Space Combat.
 
I don't know why but I've developed a pet peeve for this. Would you not agree that Castle Story more resembles Dwarf Fortress than Minecraft? Therefore why do we not refer to it as a Dwarf Fortress clone. DF had the idea of blocks long before Minecraft. Unless there is more to it than that.

I'll have to admit to not having a clue about where Notch hopes to derive the fun from 0x10c, nor to understanding entirely the premise, but again the only reference I can find to Minecraft is the distribution style.

I just find it a bit derogatory to label such indie titles as 'clones'.
 
Just started to play an game I picked up at Christmas in the steam sale.

Recettear - An item shop's tale.

This game is really much much better than I thought it would be. It's really a very good, and unique twist on a JRPG.

Neil, I notice you have fortune summoners listed from the same developer. I'd recommend this one.

Not sure what happened but i came back to this thread to find half the thread has been edited, removed!

It said edited by me, but it only had two indie games and a % added to it

Any ideas ?
