An idea for next year perhaps? PokerStars have just launched:

Nothing against Poker Idol, they have put themselves out to host the tournament for free when there was no other viable alternative, but personally I wasn't a fan of the client last night. What are other peoples thoughts?

If the organiser can't even stay up until the end of the game then it definitely starts too late ;)

I was truly knackered and went to bed before it started, but then I am an hour ahead. Shame, as I was really looking forward to it :(
That, and going to bed at 10pm is pathetic :o

Well the organiser went out so early it's easy to imagine him falling asleep watching ;)

Wow... Ive just logged in to play some poker.

Can see the option for home games though... Shall keep an eye on this. Thanks

On the table sidebar, it has a very nice looking hand history, with pictures of all stages of the hand, including your pocket cards.

It'll have to do for now, but I wouldn't mind a "hover over name to show pocket cards" type feature that I'm so used to :)
 
I didnt think the software was bad, but in terms of the big boys, FTP, pokerstars, UB it really is off the pace and could highly improved.

I think the biggest thing for me was how little and cramped everything is. Just too much going on.
 
Not a fan of avatars as a whole to be honest. Dont mind the odd image.... But anything more than that is rather distracting to the game....


PKR is a perfect example. I didnt find it at first as it was something new a different. After a while the novelty wore off and I went straight back to Pokerstars to play some serious poker.

I agree the avatars are ugly! But if you go to settings your can turn those off giving you a nice clean table view.

Who's ready for next weeks tournament?
 
Hi all.

Sorry for the delay in uploading the standings, I've been busy.

Big thank you to everyone that turned up and to Chris Edwards/PokerIdol.

Well Done to TFlemming for winning :)

Also I removed those players that where afk the entire game so some of you will be bumped a place or two. For those guys that missed the game, please in future if you can't make it then remove yourself from the tournament at the first possible opportunity.

Would everyone prefer the earlier time of 8:30 from now on regardless of TV shows such as Top Gear?
