OcUK Poker Thread.

How many runners were there in that tourny? To be fair, most people would have gone all in with short stack and a two pair, I'd gamble it you didn't have the J, or 6! The guy had himself dead before it even flopped, raising with 8 6 with the intention to bluff you off the pot with his all in. He must have loved that 6 coming out.

I certainly wouldn't have gone all-in with two pair with a short stack when its been checked to me. Not worth risking your whole stack for 800.

The person has played over 3000 SNGs, but obviously has no idea about tournament equity. Beat him heads up though :)

Can someone please recommend a good site to play poker? What are the best bonuses to take up etc? I see lots of adds for PKR and fulltilt etc but are any better than any others?

Dazza, its sickening isnt it! Why is it ALWAYS the big stack?

Slinkie, id say any of the major sites are ok. Full Tilt or Stars are probably best for Tournaments and high stakes games.

Only downside for playing on big sites is that you get a lot of donks etc so a smaller site could be better off but the quality of player will be higher, probably. :)

Betfair/Stan James/Titan etc..

^ Ouch!

Real Deal Poker launched yesterday, Gene Gioia (the founder) is giving away random prizes at tables for the first few days. Only 62 playing at the minute so might be worth hopping over there and trying to bag yourself some freebies. Looks proper good as well, but I forgot my initial sign-up details and the password reminder doesn't bloody work

Software's pretty tidy actually. Min deposit is €20 but it's only really cash games being played at the minute, from what I was watching people were making very loose calls with 3rd/4th pair all the time :/

Hardly any SNG's on there due to the fact there's only about 50 people on at any given time and you can forget MTT's bar the freerolls. Might be worth trying to win a few € in those rather than depositing, winner gets €15, top 12 get paid at least €2 so out of 50 it shouldn't be too challenging. One every 3 hours as well.

20 euros buy in? Thats quite a lot tbh.

And with it being really only cash games going, it's not really appealing to me much anymore as I'm more of a MTT/SNG player. Maybe will have play some on there when it starts getting more players

Looks like it must be quite a serious problem as there still down....

Shame as it looked alright...but loosing interest quite rapidly now. Nothing beats reliability in software. doesn't matter how attractive or ground-breaking it is.

Looks like my money will be staying with FT
