OcUK Premier League Team of the Year 2002 / 03

as there has been a bit of arguing and a few disagreements over the PFA awards I thought why dont we all chip in with our own Team of the year selections and then count up the votes to decide the OcUK Premier League team of the year ?


Basically all you do is post the 11 players that you think should be in the OcUK team of the year sticking to a 4-4-2 formation and thats about it. When all votes are in we will simply add up the votes for each player in each position and then create the OcUK Team of the Year.


So let the voting commence !


EDIT : Just to make it a bit easier you need to full backs, two central defenders, Any Four midfielders club position irrelevant and 2 Strikers. so for example you could have both Giggs and Duff in yer midfield or Keane, Vieira, Gilberto and Gerrard. Unless someone severely disagrees with this ?

GK = Brad Friedel

Right Back = eerrrrm John O'Shea

Centre Back = Sol Campbell

Centre Back = William Gallas

Left Back = Ashley Cole

Centre Midfield = Patrick Vieira

Centre Midfield = Paul Scholes

Right Midfield = hmmm have to think about right midfield

Left Midfield = Damien Duff

Left Striker = Thierry Henry

Right Striker = Ruud Van Nistelrooy

Dtab sorry to be a pain but it really does have to be 4-4-2 otherwise you are getting an extra vote for a striker which is a tad unfair.

I know tis harsh but could you please edit yer post accordingly :)

CB: Terry, Campbell
MD: Scholes, Vieira, Jenas, Malbranque
AT: Henry, Van Nistelrooy

Would have had fernandes in my midfield at xmas but last few months he has been pretty ordinary. Runs past players, then stops and lets them catch up before cutting inside onto his left foot :( Annoyingly I'd really like to have Beattie and Shearer in my team as I think they have done a lot better thansome of the players I have in other positions. Why can't we go back to the good old days of 5 up front ;)

Was tempted to put in Poyet just coz at his age he really is class, but kept him out. I assume Kev you wanted to see if I would put Campbell in my CD? Well ducking elbows aside, there he is ;) Trained well at WHL & so far resisting getting worse at Arsenal :p (aside from a temerament issue :D)

EXACTLY what I was thinking:D apart from Silvestre in LB .. not sure on Right Midfield either though...
