I can't believe there have been so many votes for Ruud. He has only been scoring for the past few weeks. This is a team of the SEASON - Beattie has been scoring for the SEASON. Not team of the month :rolleyes:

If Ruud's only been scoring the past few weeks, then he must
have scored 40 goals in a very short timeframe :D

He has been scoring, just like he was last season when I said he was crap. They are the same goals though - 3 yard belters :p Plus, when Beattie hit 20 goals, I believe Ruud was on about 12? With about half of them being penalties? All of Ruud's other goals had been against teams in the Champions League.

Beattie has been smashing them in from 30 yards more than once this season and has been scoring consistently since he returned from injury at the beginning of the season. Which is why I can't understand why Ruud is being put in the Premier League team of the Year 2003.

On recent form, even I, Mr I Hate Ruud, have to admit that he should be in the team, but that would be ahead of Henry, since he has done nothing for a few games now. Beattie however has continued scoring for fun!

Solskajear is playing right wing as he has been better than anyother right winger this season, despite being a forward.
There are no other strikers in contention other than Ruud and Henry, I dont like Pires thats why he isnt on the left, scholes has been fantastic with 20 goals this season and superb build up play, is counted as a midfielder although he started as a Forward.
Viera is the Best Center mid player in the world.

But by the same token, Beattie is now on, what is it, 23. Ruud is
now on 21 goals. So by you standards in the last X months,
Beattie has bagged 3 goals and Ruud has got 9 :)

As Arsenal are finding out, you don't win the league in November.

Also if my memory serves me right I've not seen Beattie, score
a goal like Ruud did against Fulham ? And so what if Ruud scores
most of his goals in the penalty area, he's getting the goals cause
he's a very intelligent player and gets into those positions.

Ruud's in most players Prem team of the year cause, and listen
carefully to this now ;) , CAUSE HE'S THE BEST STRIKER IN THE
COUNTRY, POSSIBLY EUROPE, POSSIBLY THE WORLD. Mr Beattie
is certainly NOT.
