as mentioned in the OP. I have compared what is available and essentially come to this conclusion. The obutto is essentially a workstation style unit that can be used for loads of stuff. We have the emperor chair if thats your thing.
for me, I wanted to offer a simulator that had the support of a specialist company. Vesaro are UK based which is the immediate plus point for them. They have on site installation and a brilliant support track record which I personally feel is crucial for a system of this complexity.
Believe me when I say after using the Hydraulic pro controls at Vesaro HQ, this is full on simulation grade stuff and the feedback is savage. the actual Vesaro core frame is leaps and bounds ahead of anything else I have seen in terms of quality.
a large amount of the cost for these units comes from the DBOX hydraulics.
a major factor for me is that I have tried a lot of these frames with chairs on and in honesty, they aren't brilliant. the modular nature of these units means you could buy a £1200 stage 1 unit and upgrade it over time to include multi display and motion units.
Sure we could offer more affordable sim systems but we want to offer the best there is and in my view, this is it.
