I had a k11 micra, fantastic reliable little car  If anything major was to go wrong there was always 100's in the local scrappy too.

Rover 214 - Waterpump

Rover 214 - Gearbox (broken by me), coolant temp sensor, waterpump

Rover 220 - CV joint and gaiter (would have been just gaiter but it's been left since May - can't complain) Soon to need a new alternator. Got one lined up for £15 :p

edited to remove 'servicable' items :o

My one is a K10 and it's pretty cheery. Won't win any awards for speed of handling etc but for reliability its doing pretty well. TBH I probably didn't need to change the engine, it was probably just the carb needed changing as it was failing emissions.

Ford Mondeo Black ST220 (2002)

Owned for 4 years now covered 88K

New tires bought....24 altogether

Never Failed an MOT

Gone through 2 sets of discs on the front and many sets of brake pads.

Gone through 16 blocks of 3 injectors (LPG)

Several LPG filters (cheap)

And a respray :)

And now I have the major ford service + cam belt + clutch + more tires + LPG service and plus some petrol injectors AND! LPG injectors.

....all in the next 2 weeks.. gonna be pricey! :(

Did I mention I am on my 5th battery.....

Reliability has been great and doesn't feel like it needs a service. I will be hopefully getting this baby to 200k and buy a BMW for town driving to save some pennies regarding fuel soon.

Car: Peugeot 205 1.8 Turbo Diesel 1992.

Owner for: 7 years

Faults:
Wishbone and anti-rollbar bearings needed replacing.
Needed new brake hoses on the front
Windscreen washers are still not working properly (oh noes!)
Battery doesn't hold a charge, I need a new one
Starter solenoid loom had a voltage drop, so now I use a relay to turn the solenoid on. :)
The fuel pump cutoff electric thing went, so the engine would carry on running even after you took the key out. Fixed now. :)

So apart from minor suspension troubles, I would say the electrics have been the most problematic. Good job it's a derv then!
