So why would you get a 1070ti over a 2060 ?
Because 6gb vram in 2019 isn't going to be enough.

No such thing as the 1160
- The 11xx series - Trying to claw back the disappointed vast majority that couldn't care less about the current 20xx series
Not yet, it's coming though, already been leaked.
It seems nvidia are just panicking and doing whatever they can to try and keep investors happy now.
- Pushing the 2060, they either thought RTX was really going to take off and people would be jumping on it, which they aren't, or they knew it would be bit of a dud but thought why not, release it anyway.

- Enabling their cards to work with freesync - Finally realised AMD/freesync is significantly cheaper than them.
All screams desperation to me.
Nothing about the 11 series has been leaked, and if it ever exists it will be something along the lines of rebranding excess Pascal stock, and most likely only in Asia. Nvidia will absolutely not run 2 parallel lines of GPUs with and without RTX and they certainly wont waste money taping out a new architecture.
The last thing Nvidia are doing are panicking, they have 80% market share and that is only growing.
The Freesync support is probably an attempt to put the final nail in AMD's coffin as it were. Stops most of the AMD marketing in its tracks, along with opening up the existing freesync owners to more Nvidia GPU options
Yes Battlefield V at +50fps is playable but hardware requirements for the latest games tend to increase by 20% per year. So next years RTX games will be about +40fps. Well it's about 20% for old school rasterisation games anyway. RTX games could be different.
Not if you ignore that that's the average FPS and it dips to the mid/low 30's no...
With the release of this card at this price if AMD did release a Vega performance Navi card for $250 they could really make headway in the market.
The 2060 looks a good card but it's painful to see the price increase for a "mid-range" card.
The pricings not too bad when you think about it, as look at how much AMDs old, slower 480s are

All the evidence is AMD want to do the opposite and follow Nvidia's higher margins. Look at the 590 price for example.Unless AMD price their cards a lot lower, which is the most likely response. They already have the better options in the mid range.
6GB for £350, yuk.

tbh i cant see the point of a 11xx series, i think i saw something for them being mobile, which makes sense as u lop off the rtx stuff and u got a smaller, cooler die thats cheaper. and it might make sense for super low end cards if u didnt want to brand them 2020ti or whatever, but for us serious types why bother with a new sku when theres the 2060 and the older 10xx that are ok
