OCUK RWYB Drag Meet 3 - Saturday September 16th - Santa Pod Raceway

Just got myself a 2006 VW Golf GTI so I may be popping down. Only 200bhp but it'd be nice to see how the DSG handles it :)

Got some issues to sort cosmetically and a couple of odd electrical issues but for now it's standard so it'd be nice to get it checked over, got to invest in some better discs and pad's because I nearly set fire to one the other evening.

Do it, this looks like one of the biggest meets we have had, so will be a great day!

do it :D As long as your clutch is good the 1/4 mile is possibly the most mechanical sympathetic fun you can have in a car!

Do it. I'd like to go against 200hp Cars.

He's pretty quick at the 1/4 dash, all he has to do is smash the loud pedal and hold on and sub 11.5s pretty much every time, but now it might be a 10s car. :)

Not sure if I shall be coming now as I am off to California following day so will depend on how energetic I am feeling and if weather looks spot on.

You should try make it, gonna be some new faces and possibly the last ocuk meet this year before the weather turns to ****.
 
Blade is almost ready for action. Oil and filter changed, front wheel out and balanced, brakes stripped cleaned and bled. Rear wheel out and a clean up, gearing changed. Old tyre removed, waiting for new tyre to arrive, it's in Leicester so should be delivered tomorrow.
 
Booked mine in with shark performance this week. May as well do the stage 2 map update for the mods I've done now. Probably be around 210-220bhp and 300-330lbft. So if I can't get into the 14s I'll be annoyed.
