OCUK RWYB Drag Meet 3 - Saturday September 16th - Santa Pod Raceway

Nice to meet you guys. Sorry I was a bit of an unsociable moo!
Shame we only managed 2 runs. The heavens well and truelly opened just as they were reopening the track. Frustrating!.

Managed a 13.1 and quite happy with that considering I've nothing dialled in. :)

Ran out of fuel. Fuel light didnt come on though, as you can see the gauge is still still showing fuel in there. Bloody thing.

Closed 2 lanes off for me n lot. Traffic officers and the AA arrived at the same time. AA guy chucked some fuel in and away i went.

Felt a rate **** haha

Not good, what's happened? Sorry for forgetting about tyre etc, will bring them with me to the rolling road day (if you're there) unless you need sooner!

Sorry that was my fault, i seen a gap to get out of the que. So decided to take it and go home and completely forgot about the spare tyre and tools. I should be at the rolling road meet, so be awesome if you can bring them then. Thanks again.

@kindai, just looking at the data from your runs - consistent!

Thank you for lending it! Just a little disappointed could only get the 2 in. Hope to see you there next time!

Just got back from a very wet Santa Pod in the M3, only managed two runs so not enough time to get to grips with launching the car effectively with the SMG but very impressed with how fast she is:

1st run 13.463s @ 109mph (launch in S3 and left in S3, oops)
2nd run 13.041s @ 110mph (launch in S3, moved upto to S6 once into 2nd gear), so close to a 12s pass

Gutted was gonna go for a 12s pass 3rd go, shall be there tomorrow in Mustang, hope it dries out, but surprised how quick the M3 is to be 12s capable and in its full weight trim. Shall re-run the M3 in March as it shall has its carbon wings, roof, lighter battery, lighter exhaust, so a good 50kg plus lighter, should be consistent 12's then, but the wasp is no slouch, strong ponies in the old girl. Not bad for 115,000 miles on the clock and an engine rebuilt by myself. :D
Also for a car only with around 350HP the terminal speeds are more than I expected. :)

See if the Mustang can put some 12s passes in tomorrow, there was a stock auto V8 mustang there today, a 2017 Lightning blue which was running 13.1@107 which seems to be what the automatic V8s generally run.

I drove past in fast lane and looked back and thought I saw your car. So I decided to spin back round and by the time I got back they'd closed the lanes and I saw one of the TOs with a red jack out so thought you may have had a flat. Otherwise would have stopped and helped out.

Good day meeting new faces shame about the weather. Also shame I now have a boost leak...again.

Thanks mate, probably best you didnt as the traffic officers warned me if they was the police i would have had a massive fine because of the situation and having to close 2 lanes.

The red thing was them trying to toe my car but i said no. Luckily the AA man turned up not long after with the petrol.

Yeah good meeting up with everyone again. Shame about the rain. I did feel bad not saying bye to eveyone but it was throwing it down and everyone dissapeared.

Ill never let it go below 1/4 of a tank from now on lol... i did mention in the subaru thread it felt crap once i went below a 1/4 of a tank. I know why now, running on fumes. Something must need adjusting.

Don't worry about not saying bye, the rain was our time to go!

PS, you'll have 2 x fuel level sensors, one either side of the tank. One is probably stuck....

sorry i never made this guys, the weather looked rubbish and just seemed silly to come in them conditions with 600+bhp
