Great seeing the effort that some people have gone to, but the above is a weird one.

I try and stay away from SS now, after the one at work a few years back, I always make a real effort with my office one, I give something the person will use or something I know they will like as its of interest to them, my gift was a triple set of books...Not a bad gift for someone who spends lunch breaks reading about crime or talking about books, but not for someone who has never read a book at work, spoken about reading a book at home or read a book in general. Some people just cant be arsed.

Seeing this thread has made me want to participate next year. I can say that I would put a lot of thought into it like most of the guys here, but everyone says that...

Is the old thread still available to read rules and what not?

Oh my good god, I've just tried out the gummy bears that i got. What the hell flavour are they!

Firebox said:
Once upon a time, there were three bears – a big bear, a medium sized bear and tiny weeny bear. Being so small, the tiny weeny bear was forever being left behind and ignored. His cousins the bigger bears got all the attention with their bright colours and huge size. The little bear would often find himself left behind. He was so small, he thought, he was barely a bear at all.

But the tiny weeny bear was a resourceful sort. Not to mention a bit of a dark horse. Which is why, one day, he left his massive cousins without saying goodbye and climbed down into hell. Which is harder than it sounds. Once there he met Beelzibear, the Antipooh, and over a bottle of tequila and a bowl of chilli, reached something of an agreement.

Some time later, the tiny weeny bear returned. But there was something different about him. He was still the same size, still the same shape, but he was packed with more fire than a honey pot full of habaneros. No longer did he mind being the smallest bear at the party – he had the power to make people gasp, cry, sweat and turn a hilarious shade of purple. Which is more than his chubby cousins could do. The first Evil Hot Gummi Bear was born.

Hope you enjoyed your Gifts derek. You we're very difficult to stalk so had to go for something related to one of the only interests of yours I could find, plus a couple of cool/random things.

Thanks for my Gift Ahleckz, will post a picture soon.

Thanks Greebo for your amazingly generous gift. Sorry again for the confusion after me opening the Amazon box early.

It's a traditional Chinese Tea Set, including a Gaiwan, a large bowl to excess tea and water, and 5 small cups!

I am really into loose teas (member of a tea club where I get a new one each week) and have wanted to get a Gaiwan for a while, so thanks so so much!!

trixilux that's poor effort from your Santa. Hasn't even posted in this thread or the other main one, I think next year we'll impose stricter entry criteria.

To be fair, some people can be truly difficult to buy for. My SS had plenty of posts, but nearly all of those were in hardware sections and his name was too common for me to find him online and stalk him :/
