yep, real life has had to come first for 2 players this year, so although we cant officially wrap this up i think we're done for now,

Yup, it's as I feared, I knew he was a good lad anyway so thought it off that he'd not replied. :( Needless to say, and goes without saying, we all wish it was @lakitu being a bugger rather than anything else.

Sorry to hear there is maybe bad news. Don't be back in here apologising for not posting lakitu. Instead, have some fun/feel good by making everyone feel like numpties for jumping to the wrong conclusion :p thoughts with you.
 
Update: The other part of my gift has arrived.

It's a wood carving knife. I was literally watching youtube videos about carving just 2 days ago and considering chopping down an old chisel to make a carving knife! Well played Santa!

Hi everyone. As most of you know, I had a family emergency at new year (my dad had a heart attack) and the last month has been a bit hectic to say the least but the good news he is recovering well.
So here I finally am to say a massive thank you to my secret santa! The picture only shows a few of the gifts (other items included a mug, origami set, 5 miniature bottles of spirits and loads of choc/sweets). I was so impressed with the effort put in and whoever you are, you went above and beyond. Thank you so much!

Hi everyone,

I am so, so, sorry for my hugely delayed response to the thread, between an intestinal illness of some sort which as been on going for weeks now for which I'm waiting on an appointment with a gastroenterologist; having to go through the process of evicting my ex-partner and my son and making them homeless so they can actually receive help from the council for housing which was the only way my life was every going to be able to begin moving forward having split up as a couple five years ago and having had her continuing to share my house ever since; being barely able to function because of crippling depression and anxiety which has made it a struggle to do anything beyond dragging myself out of bed to go to work and then getting home; and trying to come to terms with getting home to an empty house and not seeing my son everyday, everything but the absolute essentials of life has dropped by the wayside so please accept my apologies.

This Secret Santa is truly a highlight of my Christmas every year and I'm very grateful to @cainer for organising it every year, and for everyone who has taken part over the years.

@Zico Thank you for the brilliant gifts, I'm really looking forward to experimenting with all the different chilies when I start to feel a bit better, some of the aromas of the different varieties are just fantastic and mouth-watering!! The haribos didn't make it into the photo unfortunately but rest assured they provided me with some sugary comfort and sunshine in a dark moment :)

Evening @valve90210 . I hope you are feeling better under the circumstances. I didn't want to pester either your or @cainer as to how things were and thought it best to wait. I feel a bit of a plonker now hearing from you and knowing of the gifts I got for you. I did have a long stalking list with most of your likes and couldn't quite manage to get exactly what I wanted to get you.
If it helps cheer you up a bit, when I took delivery of the chilli's I opened things up to check everything was good and couldn't stop my eyes from streaming for a good few minutes after :o (that and our dogs kept well clear of the package as well :D).

I swear it wasn't a fix :D. I have a bowel condition myself so certainly wouldn't find it amusing to give such a thing to others (or would I :eek::);)).

Honestly mate, it's a brilliant present, I adore chillies and can't wait to set about using them! Tis a great gift and I'm very happy with it indeed! :) My intestinal issues that I'm currently having are gluten and soya related and with any luck nothing more than that so nothing too serious I hope... will find out after a...camera procedure :eek: But rest assured I will be back on chilli-related foods as soon as possible, and I can't wait to try out the different varieties. I must admit I keep smelling the different packages!! :D
