Update :

Right i rang the lady in the know today and she has informed me of the following

NO discount will be given evan if we book 15 pitchs ( Apprentley the owner has said no discounts are ever given out )

If your arriving friday and leaving sunday morning you have to pay £30 if you book in advance its £35 if you book on the day. She also said there will be plenty of space so getting a space on arrival is a DEFO ( Apprentley enough spaces for 5000 pitchs ) If you are only parking your car and staying in someone elses tent its going to be £7.50 x 2 apprentley. Not sure how that works out but i did say are you sure and she said yes.

I also spoke to her about having our own space and she dosent seem to see that as being a problem. Apprentley theres a 12 oclock rule tho and any noise after that time will meen we will be removed from the site in the morning.

Im going to have a hunt around to see if i can find any other camping sites in the surrounding area as to be honest im not keen on the 12 pm thing :)

Hope this helps

12 does give a fair bit of time, if you start drinking early enough it wont matter, all be dead by 12. ;)

I dont think that rule will be that much of a problem as long as we stop any music etc. Sitting chatting etc will be fine.

She thinks this event will be a busy one :)

I doubt anyone will either be up at 12pm or be rowdy so I wouldn't be worreid about the 12pm rule. I think most of us were flaked out before 12 last time :p

I have only found one other campsite nearby and it might only be open for the GP :( I am not too bothered though the campsite was excellent last time.

Im just trying to think about the mess this year , remember the mess the saturday morning last time

Did they actually say 12pm?

If so, thats noon!

She said 12 midnight is when the noise needs to stop , but were going to be in a field miles away from anyone so i cant see it being a problem.

I have asked that were kept away from the main site

As others have said, i don't think it'll be that much of a problem - I'm another old git, and if i start drinking at 6 i can guarantee i'll be tucked up in my sleeping bag at 12! £30 seems reasonable to me, just make sure we have plenty of bin bags and the rubbish shouldn't be a problem.

Last time we were all away in our tents by 11:30 but only because some grumpy git came over complaining. If that happens this year theres 20 of us ;) ( he wasnt polite infact he was your usual thug , idiot )

The event will be fantastic :) Im going to book my camping ASAP , when you book your pitch ( and you have sent the paperwork off ) post in the thread and ill add a - Pitch Booked - next to your name

What is it with you lot and your am's / pm's?! :p

It is normal for a campsite to charge extra for additional cars, I'm not understanding the £7.50x2 though? I'm guessing she means that'll it'll be £37.50 for 1 tent and 2 cars (the other £7.50 is included in the £30).

Sounds like fun, wish I could go :(

Hi Mate

The £7.50 each night is for people who are staying in other peoples tents. That charge is so that you can park your car in the campsite (on the field )

The £30 is for your pitch and your car

You should come mate, its going to be a good giggle

Sam

IMPORTANT

Please dont book the campsite yet, i will let you know today the final location of the campsite.

Currentley in talks with another campsite which offers the same facilitys , no noise limit and its closer to silverstone and the pub :D

Sam

Were staying at whittlebury guys :) The other camping location has fallen through due to the fact on that weekend its being re - seeded DOH lol

So feel free to book your pitch @ whittlebury, please post in the thread once you have sent off your cheque / booking form

Sam

IMPORTANT

Camping location has been changed , Sorry for the inconvenience to MrGubby and possibly Kaiowas and anyone else who has booked. You will need to cancel your cheuqes and cancel your bookings.

After all hope was lost something has pulled through and i now offer

- Location inbetween silverstone village and silverstone curcuit - 10 minute walk from the circuit gates to the campsite

- Toilets far closer than before , apprentley if you choose you can "**** from your tent" :p

- No noise limits, Give it gold and have a good party i was told ;)

- £20 for the weekend to pitch your tent and we can leave as late as we want sunday

- All Cars enter FREE OF CHARGE, Therefor the "Tent Pitchers" so to speak can divide the £20 between whoever is staying in there tent

This Campsite is far better than whittlebury park in every way and far cheaper /easyer. We dont need to prebook you simply pay me / the land owner.

This Campsite is used for Silverstone F1 and has been for the last 20 years

The ONLY thing he has asked is that we dont rip up his grass so please be carefull when entering / leaving the grassed areas.

ManyThanks All

Sam

Unless WhittleBury refuse my booking I'll be staying there , I don't cancel stuff like that , had it done to me and it ****** me off :)

The lodgers ;) in the East & West wings will need to book alternative accomodation :(

Suit yourself

Sam

The camping is going to cost you a lot less now because your sharing so it should only cost around £80 after the ticket as said and if you manage to resist some beers at the pub a few nights a week you will soon save that.

Would be a real shame for you not to come buddy
