Probably because they know a lot of people would return and rebuy it. Saves the hassel by refunding the difference and impresses the customer![]()
oooooh - good job i steadied the hammer on that!
Actually the guy already said to me the item was shipped out...
am sure he would ave said sorry tough luck etc etc
Doesn't stop you from receiving it and sending it straight back saying you ordered the wrong thing, and then simply rebuying it at the reduced price. I would happily do that if it saved more than a few quid.
Fixed, good shop talk has always been allowed.
Thread title won't last long.. although a new Don has replied in the thread already..![]()

Doesn't that strike you as a little unfair? People should be able to post about their experiances whether good or bad surely?
Well, yes. But should you be 'able' to use the shop forums (paid for by Spie) to badmouth them when you could be taking it up with them directly? I had an issue recently, but took it up with the shop privately. One excellent result later, I was able to post in the general forums praising OcUK.
If you weren't happy then I guess you can only complain, but don't expect to be allowed to use OcUK's paid-for forums to do it. In my experience, the shop are willing to bend over backwards, if you only take the time to ask them before shooting your mouth off on here. So all in, a bit of a moot point?![]()
If the experiance is genuine, why is it 'badmouthing' them? As a consumer, I would expect OCUK to deal with any complaint in the correct way. If I remain unsatisfied, and that must happen occassionally, then I would want to warn others of the issue.
It is sychophantic to bury your head in the sand and prtetend problems don't happen. It's also sychophantic to pretend that OCUK always gets it right, because they are human and clearly don't always get it right.
Likewise I have always found the rule preventing the posting of competitors completely retarded. OCUK should compete and price and customer service and not hide behind silly rules like this IMHO.
*Dons suit for inevitable "Fit in or **** off" and similar misguided replies*
