Some of the scheduled races do use DLC content (check page 1) but, no, you don't actually need it. It's just a pretty good price right now.

£23.99 is good as it says each one costs £10 ? so its over £60's worth !

Yeah its weirdly written since (afaik) it's just for the season pass.

The DLC required is also on sale and is a lot less than the £23.99 for the season pass.. so just wondered what in it is so good ?? for £23.99
To be honest, I've only recently got it myself so haven't had a chance to check it all out.
It was just easier, for me at least, to get the whole lot than trying to pick and choose between all the DLC.

ah ok.. the season pass includes ALL DLC?? if so that's quite good value..
Yeah all but the last 2 which aren't discounted anyway.
One of the packs not included just have historic versions of current tracks so I wasn't much interested.

Talk is a very loose definition of the obscenities and abuse hurled at me by @Mr.Cookie and @SimonRigga as we play AMS2.
Just because I took them out a few(every) times just as they were about to do a fastest lap. Extreme overreaction by them I thought.
To answer your question, yes we "talk" to each other while racing.
