*** OcUK VR Sim Racing Thread [2024 Season] ***

Might need some help setting this up as never done it before. Does the inbuilt quest3 microphone work for this purpose?

It depends on what headset you and the other have. If it's all Quest headsets, we just make a group chat on the Quest itself and talk through that. If there are a few different headsets then they use Discord for chat. It's just a matter of joining the same discord as the other racers. I think @iseedeadpixels has a Discord setup, should ask him for an invite.

Yep I'm in the discord group already.

Discord links in the first post......I've never testing out the talking part, although I assume just leaving the discord running and set the audio/mic to the headset should work.

Will run a few tests.

I can if you want @ShiWarrior @melmac @SimonRigga and anyone else? Just a two hour practice session?
Soz @melmac just seen your not around dude :(

I would but I'll be watching the darts at 8. Can do tomorrow tho if anyones around.

Couple of things, the race will be set for the current date at 13:00, and is a 16 lap race. Might be worth driving in those conditions for a while to get used to it.

Keep going, i can hit 1.43/1.44 with my Xbox controller, i was using that when i was adjusting the settings all the time, was much easier with q controller in my hands.

Im 1.41/1.42 with a wheel but ive put in a lot my time with a wheel.

One thing I and one other observed from tonight's session is that the graphics seem poorer compared to the time trial event. Is this something to do with the online play?

We both noticed a more blocky, compression like appearance to the graphics.
