I just spotted this, tbh I hardly use my wheel in VR so would love to join in if possible?

You know that screw can sit flush without sticking out, right? You have to rotate your wheel when you attach it so the screw inserts onto the flat area of large thread and doesn't go through the threads plastic.

I'll have another look at it, I did have issues with it in the first few months of ownership.

Tried that with @Mr.Cookie around Spa.. very cool.. but waaaaaaaaay too fast

I did thus last night, nearly had a heart attack when I put my foot on the accelerator, even just a little bit! Jeezus!

Thanks! So Thurs 25th at 8:15, and I'll need to practice with the formula trainer at Brands Hatch [GP], right?

I've also done a few similar, joined the AC time trial one not long before it ended, going back many many years I enjoyed the NFS Shift 2 weekly time trial too, much more arcadey but lots of fun.

@ShiWarrior yeah I've fitted my wheel about three or four times and that was the first time the collar ended up with the screw lined up to the bottom

I just drilled some holes in my desk and bolt ot down when in use. Most desk clamps ive used (Logitech, thrust master) have beem squeaky and wobbly

Mouse matt covers the holes when not in use.

@SimonRigga , did i hear you've just bought one ?

could someone measure it with a steering wheel and pedals still attached please ? trying to work out if it will be a viable option for me

do you mean measure folded out?? or folded up?

folded out.. it can vary.. depending on how low you have the seat.. and how far you have the pedals out for your legs..

in that direction it's 32cm tip of wheel to back of seat..

it's also 52.5cm wide across the back of the seat.. and 121.5cm high..

no idea what wheel it is..

further edit: I now find it much easier to get out and setup than having to get separate wheel and pedals..

That ain't too bad at all. Do you find it moves around when in use? How strong/robust does it feel?

Looks like an earlier version of the Logitech G29 wheel that I've got.
