I'll have another look at it, I did have issues with it in the first few months of ownership.You know that screw can sit flush without sticking out, right? You have to rotate your wheel when you attach it so the screw inserts onto the flat area of large thread and doesn't go through the threads plastic.
Tried that with @Mr.Cookie around Spa.. very cool.. but waaaaaaaaay too fast

I've also done a few similar, joined the AC time trial one not long before it ended, going back many many years I enjoyed the NFS Shift 2 weekly time trial too, much more arcadey but lots of fun.
