Reading the MW2 thread its apparent that a lot of peoples gripes are around the people that play the game.

Namely kids, noobs doing nothing but hiding all game in corners, constant noob tubing and commando lunges etc..

How much better would it be if we could organize an OcUK league of some sort. have a google spreadsheet to keep track of the ladder, and maybe make some teams (trying to balance skill levels as much as possible) and have a regular groundwar game and keep track etc..

Would provide consistently good games i reckon. I would be willing to organize a map list, scoring system, spreadsheets etc.. if people are willing to play.

We all play together with mixed levels anyway. Doesnt really bother me i'll be up against players who are level 70 with more lunlocks etc..

I've got a couple of classes that are exactly as i like them already - eg. my run and gun class, UMP, SPAS12, commando pro, lightweight pro and and marathon pro, my Assault Rifle class with fully unlocked Scar-H etc..
 
we'd play one or two matches a week. If people only wanted to play this and not public then thats fine.

Would be good to see the people who maybe havent sold the game, but got fed up of it, get back into it, even if they only play these private games.

I suggest a couple of polls for things like game types, weapon restrictions etc. Teams possibly drawn out of a hat?

Weapon restrictions definately though im all for removing noob tubes from serious games :o

defaintely wanting a proper organized game, with a time each week, set teams etc..

have it as a private match, will gladly restrict noob tubes if thats what everybody wants.

This would be an invite only affair using a private match

reduces the chances of lamers spending all game holed up in a pipe somewhere.

Wont make everybody happy, but if we can make enough people happy to make it worth bothering with, then we will have done alright.
 
my thoughts were to have a go at most of the games.

Its not for anything other than fun, so if somebody decides they dont want to play a certain game, dont play. If people cant turn up, then thats fine, just get something resembling a team together at 8pm or whatever and we'll with what we've got. We could even all be part of the same xbox live party and do party chat to taunt the other team. It could be really fun and social, something thats missing from playing MW2 against randoms.
 
Right Ok we've got 20 names now.

Theres a max of 18 players in an xbox live game so i dont want to get too many names or else too many will get fed up of not being able to play. next step is to appoint two team captains and do a school playground style pick of the teams. Any volunteers ? Ideally both need to be somebody that knows most of the players in the list so they know who'se good and who isn't

Theres no point us playing if the teams are unbalanced, as its no fun turning up on a night to get wooped 200 - 10 on domination or whatever.

that isnt what this is about.

If this becomes some sort of ego contest i'll have no part in it.

The reason for it is to provide us with a playing the game in a manner that we'd like to play, but cant seem to find on-line against random (ie playing properly, using comms, not using stupid overpowered killstreaks etc.. and having fun)

if it stops being fun it defeats the whole point.

Having said that, i'm sure the scoreboards at the end will do the talking.
 
hope to get teams picked and a spreadsheet etc.. up next week. Just need somebody else to volunteer as the other captain.

i think most seem to want noob tubes and kill streaks turned off.

Send me your e-mail address to the e-mail address in my trust details (or xbox live whatever) and we'll start an e-mail chain between all 3 of us to pick teams. I'll catch one of you on xbox and we'll toss a coin to see who picks first.
 
mcluvin is a decent guy, he's turned to the hax because he's get fed up of playing with kids etc.. hopefully this should resolve that.
 
I'm stuck at work, but they at least let us turn the TV on and watch the football that is normally used for presentations etc..
