OCUK's new website

Well it's impossible to navigate using touch alone on a SP3. Can't get to any sub categories as you are using onclick events for the headers, so I can't actually click anything in the flyout menus.

The old site, whilst dated, actually worked. The new one looks dated, AND cluttered, AND doesn't work.

To read that the redesign took YEARS is shocking, I'd hire in some professional designers, with a portfolio of successful previous works next time.

I think the new site does have some positives as I agree it did need a bit of a revamp but (In my opinion) it's a bit messy/crampt and it reminds me of other websites whereas the old site was unique and simple. I think I prefer the old site but the new one certainly isn't completely awful as it is probably more for what new customers will be expecting/used to.

I find it very busy and almost purposefully so which I dislike. I'm on your site as I want to buy something, don't force feed adverts in the middle of product listings etc... it's distracting and the harder you make it to find a product I want then I'll just shop else where.

I generally dislike sites which make me work too hard. Simple filtering is fine but "click here to expand the list". 10 products per page style pointless menus for the sake of menus grinds my gears.

As long as it can be turned off then yeah. Personally I hate 9/10 mobile "optimised" sites. My phones big enough for a desktop view..

It should even need turning off, it should read the browser string and set the site accordingly. No excuses in this day and age nit to read browser string, yet 95% of sites don't and just read half browser string and so it ends up as mobile.

It's extremely inefficient site. Adds and controls take up half the screen. And in fact this morning it refuses to load properly.
If there willingly to changes things like when they launched the old site, then i'll go more in depth, however all they've posted so far is about bug fixes.

Doesn't work except a bar at top of screen. Besides why change it, it was already one of the best computer shop sites around, as the saying goes, if it ain't broke don't fix/mess with it.
