Oculus Rift with a RTX 4090 FE issues

I used this one and it worked ok

the 1st one I tried was a really cheap eBay special and it didn't work, and iirc only did 1080p on TV as well. put the TV to 4k and it didn't work properly. the Amazon one worked ok on that too.

This doesn’t (black screen on Oculus) :

My monitor is already using the DP so I cant really try that, but I guess I could try it with an adaptor to my tv to see if it works that way. Not sure if there's much point now tho as I bought a Rift S & its working ok.

That’s the one I bought - maybe it’s a Rift issue :confused: who knows? It works as it is for the moment, so that’ll be it until I persuade myself that a Quest Pro is worth the cash!

ok. I have the Oculus rift and have same issue since upgrading to an RTX 4090.
I believe the issue is caused by the hdmi cable conflicting.
The solution i use is to remove the display port cable to run vr then replace once finished.
If you do get flickering then just remove the displayport cable and replace and all ok

Yes you're right that is an option, but I had a message in the hmd to continue setup on the monitor which I couldn't do as there was no picture on screen. I might of been able to bypass that somehow I'm not sure, I do still have the cv1 so I may look at it again, but I have the Rift S & it's ok for the time being. Are you still gonna keep your cv1 or you gonna upgrade to something newer?
