OCZ Official Statement regarding hardware issues reported by other manufacturers

I just RMA'd my Vertex 2 on saturday due to pretty much the same thing.

IT BSOD then disappeared from BIOS never to be seen again... :(

I'm still using 2.02 that the drive (vertex3) shipped with, apart from an annoying system hand for about 60 seconds, not long after booting, where the drive is doing something mine has been very stable. Dunno if I can be arsed pulling the drive out n fitting to another system to update the firmware Or not. I assume it would have to be done twice: 2.02-2.06-2.08 ?

You don't need to. There is a link in the OCZ forum for a linux updater that I used yesterday to update to 2.09 Also a link for a one time updater to get you to 2.06 first
see my post in the HDD forum here:

My high o/c is not stable with old settings having to up the volts: more trial & error:( Maybe 'cause I'm using my ssd witha pcie card:confused:

Wow I am coming up against this exact problem.

Why are they not being sold with newer firmware months after this became known??

I just took delivery of an Agility 3 the other day and am getting the problem where it wont recover from hibernate.

i believe the problem has a proper solution now (not the temporary quick fix they released recently after the announement)

have a look in the hard drives section

was just writing to say no bsod with the new 2.11 firmware but it did it while writing -_-

I'm also on 2.06. Any reports on OSX?

Yes if you have Interl cpu/chipset. See the OCZ forums.
It takes a while for drives to come through the supply chain that why the don't have the latest firmware.
See forum for what to do - just reinstalling Windows won't necessarilly fix problem(s) SE, clear CMOS,for P67/Z68 mobos their is an order for what you have to install/
