OCZ REVODRIVE PCI-EXPRESS SOLID STATE DRIVES - PRE ORDER NOW

at the moment we are having a few teething problems with our sample. we have halted our testing and are working closely with OCZ to sort the problems out.

as i mentioned before, i am fairly certain it is a configuration error on my part.
we are getting fantastic support from OCZ and hope to have it sorted soon. as soon as we get the ball rolling again then i will get some results posted :)

OCZ pulled them
it was their choice. as i mentioned, we are working hard with them to get this exciting product back on track :)

Is this seen as an add-in raid device in the bios?

The only thing I can think of is it's having problems with the type of PCIe slot/motherboard it's in.

I had serious issues with an LSI Raid card and it took several motherboards to get it working properly.

Try the card in a PCIe slot that isn't used for SLI or crossfire.

I also found with my ASUS board (which can alter the lane widths) that disabling this feature - leaving the lanes at their default x16/x1/x16/x1 - kept the raid card stable and allowed me to update its firmware without any hitches.

And for my AM3 system, it was only an ASUS board that would work.

This is a great leap in technology. I don't have the money but those speeds should hopefully be the push we've all been waiting for to drop the prices of the SSD's

doesn't seem too impressive on a review i saw, basically the same as 2 SSD's in RAID.

not worth it for people who already have a good SSD.. the fusion ioxtreme drive is much faster, but it costs like 800 quid, and for only 80 gigs of space, and it's not bootable yet :p

Whats the deal with these then? They're in the new products menu on the home page, but the link goes nowhere.

Also they're 30 quid more expensive than another very common competitor. Would much prefer OcUK :D

this looks like the next generation of ultra low form stuff. maybe a wing cooler for a grafics card would cool it down.

still pretty amazing stuff. make me think that this is just another fad :(

still i`d stick to a ssd till these become cheaper.

imaging getting a 2tb ssd for £110... well that will probably be in about 3 years time :D
