ocz ssd do i need to alter anything in the bios

it will be the only drive other than the sata dvd drive, motherboard is a asus p5e

so i have an option for AHCI.do i alter this and if so do i do it before i install win7?

Will need drivers - USB drive or cd should do the trick

If you're installing windows 7, You'll be ok with the standard drivers on the install disk.. However, you could install the RST drivers afterwards

RST 10.1.0.1008 installer

There's also a version f6 during OS installation, if you wanted to load the drivers for XP.

RST 10.1.0.1008 for f6 install

i have done a clean install on w7 on a vertex2e ssd and have set it to AHCI.

i'm running default drivers at the moment..is there advantages for me to use RST drivers?

mobo is asus p5q-e
