I have just bought a new M/B CPU and Memory and i am trying to make the new build as painless as possible.
I have got the Asrock Z68 Extream4 Gen 3 Intel 2500K and Kingston Hyper X Genesis grey DDR3 PC3-12800C9

So on my old system I have my OCZ Vortex 2 120Gig as the main drive, What do i need to do to the drive to format it ? I am a bit scared I will damage it so any help on this would be great.

Thanks in advance.

put the windows disc in,
boot to it,
find the drive and format the data,
install windows,
enjoy

no different to installing windows on a normal hdd :)

The optimum way is to "secure erase" the drive by booting using OCZ's bootable disc (which has a version of Linux on it). You can update the firmware whilst booted from this disc too, to kill two birds with one stone.

Then install Windows directly to the raw space on the blank drive.
