Sorry in advance if this should be obvious but. Overclockers dont seem to be carrying any OCZ drives that I can see. Is there a reason for this ?

Yea, but the OCZ brand didnt die. They have Arc and Trion drives on the market at the moment. But no mention of them over here, is what im saying.

Toshiba NAND, and Toshiba controller, surely a winner?

Crucial and Samsung are the main "players" in the SSD market these days.
You could argue Sandisk and Kingston are the "budget" and "bargain" drives.

Let OCZ go......

Indeed.

Once upon a time, their RAM and PSU's were pretty good and they were solid and mainstream.

Move on from those halcyon days, they're gone. They've sold up and there are new boys on the block.

The warranty with the latest OCZ SSDs is pretty impressive (IE. ShieldPlus)

Personally, I've had my problems with OCZ SSDs (even the later Vertex 4 drives) but hopefully under Toshiba's wing, things should be looking better. Would not stop me from trying one of their new drive again (price would be the main consideration for me).

PS. On further reading up on their new drive (Trion 150) it looks like a decent step up on the Trio 100. BUT.... price is the key for what is really a drive at the budget end of the market and here the Trion 150 really needs to undercut the Samsung 850 evo by a decent margin. Plus the 3 year warranty maybe wants to be bumped up to 5 years to pull old customers (like me) back to the fold.
