In nvidia control settings, if i put the slider on performance graw2 runs fine.

But if i put it on balanced of quality, the graphics go completely messed up. hollow textures, everything is grey.

Every other game i have is fine on all 3 settings (performance - balanced - quality)

odd :(

8800 GTX, with 163.11 beta drivers, vista 64bit.

i got quality on, just played it and its running sweeter than a bolt and nut in a cup full of WD40.... so it must either be the install or vista, as im also using the same drivers and vista 64 ultimate

try reinstall and backup the profile so you dont loose saved games?

Whilst the performance wasnt bad in vista the crashing and instability was appaling. Gone back to XP and i havent had one crash playing it (or any other game for that matter) since. and like the other guy said running at like 60fps+ maxed out at 1680x1050.

I get the same grey problem with the demo, for me though its if i set FSAA to override app setting in the control panel.

So if you set nvidia to overide app it goes all grey?

or the other way round?

Yup, try setting the option to application preference and enable antialiasing in game and see if that fixes it.

I had graphical problems with Graw 2 under Vista with 163.11 and 162.22, I installed 158.45 drivers and it was fine.

If you try to force AA it will screw it up aswell, It's an engine limitation, It uses the edge smoothing instead, Just like Graw 1.

A friend of mine is having similar graphical problems (running under XP though) where the whole screen goes grey/white but he can still hear the game running!?!? (and other players can see him still in the game!)
This problem then extended to BF2 aswell and the only way he could fix the problem was by uninstalling the Ageia drivers that GRAW2 forces you to install!! (which obviously then stopped GRAW2 working!)

Anyone come across this and if so will rolling back to the 158.45 drivers help??

wait, are you setting it up in NV panel with 'Adjust settings with 3d view'? because that will bump up the AA force and will cause that exact effect.
