Well I bought a blackberry playbook from the same company and realised it was ****.

I took it back in the box and said I bought it as a gift for someone and didn't know they already had one. When they asked me why it was open, I just said I wanted to check it worked ok before giving it as a present.

They gave me a full refund.

They must have been daft.

if it were genuinely faulty then the op could insist on a refund AFAIK - rather than a repair - if recently bought. you just say that you have lost confidence in the product due to it's faults..

I work for a retail store, and once its opened its pretty much yours. It is harsh and I hate it, but at the end of the day the laptop/ electrical item cannot be resold unless we sell it as ex display because the returns center will not give us credit for used and working models.
