There's more to Amsterdam than crappy plants.

Never held an interest to me, and Prague doesn't cater for it like Dam does either.

Thanks mate, that looks like a good option for the first night and then take it from there, cos there are 5 blokes, it makes sense to get a big room that this place offers, cheers man :)

Like Oddjob has said, this is where we stayed. Its a great hostel, really friendly and helpful.

There are LOADS of bars, you'll find your own, but don't be afraid to go downstairs into the basement, its where they all are mainly. Through a little alley way, and then downstairs. Enjoy it! :D

I stayed in a cheap hostel just across the park from the main square.....

HERE

It's just a typical cheap Eastern European hospital. Bed, wardrobe, not much else. What do you want for the money though :D We were there at a weekend and there was a huge amount of disruption on the Friday night with lots of foreigners (I overheard Italian, Spanish, and Portugese shouting matches) who basically come over, get drunk, stay there and trash cheap hostels. This is a problem in a few places according to the owner. Shame!

Nice city, enjoy it. I'll see if I can dig some pics out.
 
Following this thread closely as I want to go to Krakow next year. Done Prague twice now it was great but I want to see some other bits of Eastern Europe.

Can’t beat a bit of eastern block action:D;)
 
£50 is a bit more than i want to spend as i'm with male mates, and we will sleep anywhere, if i was taking the other half then i would not skimp out :p
