Then there's a button to send a message to your hotmail - but that's not "adding" someone is it :p

Hence, my initial statement stands.

(Yes, I just being difficult for reasons unknown :o)

EDIT: After clicking on said button, I have now discovered that it gives the option to add to contacts.

I now withdraw my initial statement, with apologies :o:o:o

JanesyB's banning is not up for discussion. a decision was made and it was finalised. no moderator mentioned above had any involvement in the matter nor has any power to reverse it.

it really is getting tiresome reading about it.

I'm sure it is, but the circumstances surrounding it were a bit sparse to say the least. We all know now why he's gone - basically for "totting up".

However, the straw that broke the camel's back was the ponyest piece of straw in the stable - basically trolling a troll, and a certain mod getting rather excitable about it.

Whats done is done, but I just think it could have been handled better. Just seems to have been plenty of carpet sweeping and "we're not discussing it" statements plastered all round.

You know this approach will only serve to get tongues wagging left right and centre - it's human nature.

If a Don just said "Look, he was banned for X, Y and Z, thats it, end of", I doubt there would have been as much furore, and all the sig changing etc.

Probably got myself in trouble now, but it'll be worth it if it prevents this happening again in the future.

Surely banning is like prison? Designed to punish the criminal, keep the public safe, and act as a deterrent to others. But without knowing what someone did it's not very good as deterrent...

It is no secret that me and Robbie G argue on here, but I do not think for a second he should be banned, if not for the simple fact that I think that should be a very last resort saved only for the worst of posters and people trying to damage to either the forum or the business, but also because his posts are some times so bad, so scrub tier, so bottom of the barrel, that they make even the other low tier posters look good in comparison! (Also the dude helps some times)

You know this approach will only serve to get tongues wagging left right and centre - it's human nature.

I do not think they do understand the intricacies of how the forum, or maybe just motors, works on that kind of level. It is why I am going to be starting a campaign (already backed by both the majority of posters, every elite member poster and top tier poster) to become a moderator myself. Just look at the MX5 Mondeo thread, I didn't even want something like to happen!

This Offtopic thread is a saving grace and indicative of both my understanding of motors and ability to get things done, when the time comes, I will appreciate everyone's support.
