Saw that on the news earlier. Glad I am not going that way today!

Have seen a car on fire in there before (luckily passed it before they closed the tunnel).

How come vehicles catch fire in there like this? Or does this happen along normal stretches of road, but because of the disruption caused in the tunnel we hear about it all over the news?

Its simply because its a fire in a tunnel thats a natural bottleneck at the best of times, todays fire involves an HGV (thankfully, not mine!) so it will take hours to sort out (assuming the heat from the fire has not damaged the tunnel) - I'll be here for a bit I think.....:)

Guess you've just got to wait for the camera crew, and do a small talking-head piece to camera.

Honestly, didn't do anything massively special, as she's always said she would want it to be personal, basically not in a restaurant or anything like that.

So I had her come round after work, cooked for her, and after we finished eating I made her take the dishes to the kitchen and make us a hot drink (:p) so I could prepare the candles etc in the living room. Then when she came back in, I was there waiting with the ring, gave her the usual lovey dovey speech, then got on one knee and asked the question, and got a yes with tears of joy.. :) Simples :D

haha, she's already tried to make me sell the Scooby several times, it's not happening ;)
 
As as i said on facebook, congrats :)

Freefaller, are you ever planning to come to meets ala RR again? Or are your motors meet days over?
