I'd have been disappointed with The Evil Within if I'd paid whatever the full price was at launch; the diary is a bit rubbish and the lenticular art thing should've been part of the cover art sleeve rather than just a separate thing that'll end up getting lost.

But for £10, not complaining.

Yeah, I know what you mean, I loved the premise and the look of the game but fell short but was a decent game. I bought at £18 then sold it on after I finished and now repurchased for £8 for another play through.

Or maybe he has a disability that prevents him from "walking" to the shops.

Yeah I have that it's called laziness, to be fair there aren't that many retail stores that sell games where I live anymore etail sites are the best way to buy physical disk based games but then you have to wait for it to arrive. I can see pros and cons to physical vs digital on both sides, I usually buy physical but that's generally because it's cheaper and easier to obtain. I like to have the choice either way and we shouldn't be forced down the digital route like M$ wanted as then prices would be more dictated by them and we would all be paying more.

I bought Call of Duty: Ghosts physical last weekend for £7 as I fancied playing through the campaign. I noticed when I installed it that was still £54.99 on PSN...

why would you buy digital if retail is the same price?

both have their advantages and disadvantages.

for instance it's like saying nobody should buy a diesel car. petrol is superior. what if you travel 40,000 miles a year?

i buy digital for multiple reasons:

1. No need to change discs
2. Game/Account sharing - A mate shares my account with me. He gives me 50% of the cost of every game I buy plus £20 a year for psn plus. So if uncharted is £20 on cdkeys. I only pay £10 for it ;)
3. I have very fast 150MB broadband I can download the game before amazon can even dispatch it.

I try not to buy too many digital games, I end up forgetting I have them. Not in the sense of forgetting entirely, just it doesn't occur to me that they're there.

For me it was not a question this generation. After having bought/sold/re-bought/re-sold games on the PS3 and Xbox 360, I decided to buy digital for PS4 as then I will always have them. I don't regret buying any of the games I have so far. All worthy of re-playing in years to come.

If you plan on keeping it then why not? All these people that have a moan at others for buying digital rather than disc, if you don't like it no need to push it onto anyone else.

I buy half my games on disc and the other half digitally, whatever i know i'll keep is digital and what i want to play and sell disc based. I'm used to it though after many years of Steam and being digital.
