Now Stadia is off the table, I’m open to grabbing something over Black Friday, sure. Preferably something to tide me over until next year.
 
If you're 100% going to want to upgrade to Scarlett then Xbox All Access might be worth a look if you want to grab an X soon? Not saying All Access is for everyone but it might be worth a look

I feel I've been misled on what this actually was. It was never promoted/advertised as a beta which now after last night, it essentially is. I fully expected to have the Controller/Chromecast on the 19th which is what the pre-order specified. I certainly didn't expect to be told that I'll be only be playing on a PC/Mac once I receive a code on the day my order ships, which could be a week after launch. A lack of transparency regarding pricing - how can you a week before launch not tell people what you're going to be charging?

Such a shame as I think it could be awesome, but I'm not down for being a beta tester and Google's awful PR/Marketing team ultimately made my decision.

Managed to pick up a Pro with RDR2 from Am. Warehouse this morning. 20% off marked price. Very happy and should tide me over until next year and the PS5.
 
As a heads up for anyone, like me, who's trying to pick up an Xbox One S for kids (or themselves) for Xmas - UK prices seem to be through the roof at the moment for the one with the disc drive, starting at about £220 for the standalone console.

I just bought one with the Jedi Fallen order bundle from Amazon.de for ~£152 delivered (169.99 Euro + delivery) - those are £250 on uk amazon!

Seems like there is bundles all over the place for a One X for 299-309 depending on the game(s) it comes with.

It's a shame theres nothing on the S or digital edition, they're probably better value if you just want to check out game pass cheap for a year until next gen.
