Offical C905 thread

I think if you google unlocking mobiles or something like that you can pay a small price and you get a code to enter which unlocks it. Never done it myself but my dad managed to do it so it can't be that hard :p
 
Got my C905 coming today on Orange contract, but ive been given a new number!?

I asked to keep my same number, how can I go about keeping my same number? Does it take a while?

I need to give Orange my PUK code too - Does this have an effect?

Double check what you've signed up to. If your upgrading then your old number stays. Orange do however bundle a new SIM with every phone, so they've had to transfer you details to the new SIM.
However there are also dealers "pretending" to be networks (like Orange) and offering new contracts disguised as upgrades. In a nutshell tricking customers into a new contract when they think they are upgrading. So long as you called Orange, and didn't answer a random upgrade call you should be okay. PUK code is used when you've locked your SIM by entering the wrong PIN number more then 3 times.

i got mine for £99 with orange contract. works paid for it.

Well can you put tomtom on it and use it, to get rid of carrying two things ;) :p? I'm intruiged as to what the selling point of GPS is for this phone, because it doesn't seem to me like it'll do much?

Anyone got Live Messenger to work on theirs? Everytime I connect it fails, and says check Login, when it is all ok!

Im on Orange.
 
How are you finding the keypad?

it looks pretty slick but from a production point of view they couldnt have made a cheaper keypad, its just a very thin single sheet of cheepy plastic.

but at least it feels/works a lot better than the c902 so thats good
 
Im finding it pretty good, prefer it to my old K800i phone.

Is it possible to change the New Events, like I could on my k800i to when I got a text it wouldnt say "You have received a text message from xxxx" it would be like a menu ?
 
o2 direct annoyed me so much.....ive been with them for 5 years, spend absolutely loads every month, and when I phoned up to upgrade to the C905, which they finally got in stock, a week after everyone else, they would not do anything for me at all....not even discount my line rental by £1. So I went to the CPWH and got the tariff I wanted and the phone for free within about 10 mins :)

I've just received mine in the post this morning. First impressions are very good. I tried one out in the Orange shop which had a very slow and laggy menu but it isn't the case on my Vodafone model.

As a bit of a photography hobbyist, I'm finding the camera VERY impressive. I have no need to drag my SLR and lenses around half of the time now.
 
On the other side of it to the card slot. You cant really see it but if you look below you should see alittle hole under black plastic casing, I'm guessing if you can't see it the light isn't flashing... only just noticed it on mine like =/
