Offical C905 thread

Where is the best place to get hold of a C905?

Mobiles.co.uk seem to offer the best deal, free 2gb card and whatever "gift".
Not heard of them tho, they reliable?

It's about there on the phone

Edit: Turned phone on and off and the little light is gone =/
the light comes when the battery is low or when the phone is charging, its not visible when its not lit, pretty neat though

must have been a bug or something then or it didn't turn off after it charged because it's fully charger and not plugged in.

I've just received mine in the post this morning. First impressions are very good. I tried one out in the Orange shop which had a very slow and laggy menu but it isn't the case on my Vodafone model.

As a bit of a photography hobbyist, I'm finding the camera VERY impressive. I have no need to drag my SLR and lenses around half of the time now.

any tips for a good set up for night shots ? always wanted to take some good ones but i know nothing of cameras :( all help welcome.

Anyone used this and a c902 so they can give a comparison? I'm considering selling mine and getting a c902 for £100 or so profit.

C902 seems like a neat phone but its got a small screen and crappy touch screen buttons, awful stop gap idea. you either do touch screen well, or you dont bother, thankfully sony have dumped all the touch screen tech in the c905 and left it strictly to the X1 PDA

the worst bit about the c902 is the bad keypad, its clearly form before function, the buttons only depress if you press them near the middle of the keypad and its not easy to get a finger on them

Just got mine. The camera cover feels like it is about to break or fall off everytime i open/close it.

And there are also a whole lot of "issues", with it, most related to the vodaf*** branded firmware. Now why on earth did they lock 2 of the shortcut buttons, and how many routes do you really need to goto Live.

I never considered returning a phone before, but with this, i'm going to give it 10 days or so, and it may go back.

Got mine from o2 after being on an 18 month contract for 35/month with my Samsung u600. - Used to have 600mins, 500 texts - thats it.

Got off the phone with o2 direct yesterday, got through to the 'i'm leaving' section and got a good deal.

Told them i want to reduce my monthly outgoings, get a new phone and anything else they can offer. Guy on the phone gave me 1200mins, 1000 text messages, unlimited internet usage - 49.99 for the phone and a monthly contract of 27/month.

Got my phone today and everything works great, came with a 2GB M2 memory card, loving the style... camera is great too!

Got my phone last week from o2 but over the weekend I was putting the 8.1mp camera to use and one of the buttons broke:( But I'm having it exchanged tomorrow as this is the best non-smart phone Ive had in years.

Unable to connect my C905 to my wireless network. Has anyone had any problems connecting their devices? Mine works at home, yet not here... I've disabled all security to test, but still comes back with 'could not connect to network'

EDIT: ignore this, MAC filtering was turned on..

When I got mine it had the horrific Orange firmware on, I changed it using the Davinci website and it's miles better now, i'm really pleased with it.

Guys, i currently have a k800i, i had a 18month contract which ran out about 6months ago and now im on the £20 simplicity plan. Can i still try and get this phone for £50 and about 500 txt / 300 minutes for about £25 a month, or because im on simplicity can i not haggle?

What's the main difference? I'm very tempted to do this as well.

I'm finding that the battery life isnt spectacular. Which isnt surprising given that the battery is only 20mah LESS than my W880i (which was quite good around 5 days)

I got exactly the same deal on tuesday so seems like this is a common offer the are doing just now.
Ring them up and say you know a few friends that have been offered this deal and see if they'll give you it to. I cant see them offering anything better.

btw Loving this phone so far :D
