Offical C905 thread

for folk with battery issues, try turning down the screen brightness if it set to 100%....had this problem on my c902 power only lasting a couple of days, but then turned to brightness down and now manage 4-5 days juice! :)

Had to take mine back to the vodafone shop today and send it off for repair, the earpiece has had it.

Loads of people having the same problem: http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=10829

Rather annoying.

Hope it stays fixed once it's returned. Kinda annoying seeing as the K800i was a right battleax, was hard as nails. This thing seems a bit flimsy in comparison

And while on the note of Vodafone, anyone know how I can de-brand it, 'cause the Vodafone branded firmware on it is a big sack of ****.

Just got my self one of these. Rang up to request my PAC code from O2 and got:
18 Months
£24.50 Per Month
600 Minutes
1000 Texts
Unlimited Internet
And a free phone.

Looks good seeing as that plan is generally £35pm

I just rang Orange to upgrade and they offered me the same deal, which is exactly what i have now but £10 cheaper.

They said the phone would be £127, but they could give me £120 credit on my account. Making the phone £7.

Seems like i don't spend "quite" enough to get it for free.

Trouble is they want £7.50 a month for 250mb internet, when for £5 you can get "Unlimited" internet usage on T-mobile Web 'n' Walk.

I've asked for my PAC code and said i'd think about it and look around. Is that the right thing to do? Any chance they might get in touch and offer a little improvement? (My contract runs out on the 2nd Jan after 18 months)

Wait until you contract has finished, this is where they get you.

Look at my thread: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17947895&highlight=username_Chris344

Just got through to O2, and the offer was:

Free C905
15 a month -> 400 mins
1000 txts
Unlimited O2-O2 calls

Though I quite fancy either the XDA Ignito (HTC Touch Pro?) or Xperia X1.

Thoughts?

I rang them back this morning to be told that they could no longer offer the £25 deal, the cheapest they could do was £30.

They could do me 500mb Data for £5 however. So that brought it to £35.

I told them it wasn't good enough, as T mobile are doing £31.50 for Flex T 35 (~400 mins, 1200 txts) and unlimited (1gb) internet. But they wouldn't budge, although they were very understanding, and the guy said to be honest mate if i was you i'd go talk to T mobile as that is a better deal than we can offer you.

However i rang bk later to see if they could do the £25 offer, and i'd just not use much data on my phone and the guy offered me the £5 deal on that contract.

So it's going to be:
£30 a month
600 Mins
Unlimited Txts
Unlimited (500mb) Data
C905 for Free (£127, then £127 credit)

They are out of stock of the black, but will ring me in 7-10 days when it's in stock.

I'm fairly happy with that to be honest, i can take that offer for £25 if i don't want the data.

Any other advice to get a little bit more out of them, or do you think i should just take it?

I have the C902 and it seems a damn good upgrade from my K800i.

I give it lots of abuse and it just keep smiling back :D

Glad I didn't get the C905 now by the looks of this thread.

BTW: My K800i was a very early one, got hammered to ****every day for a year and half, and now is in the hands of a mate who hammers it too. IT was in the pocket I keep my keys in too, so has virtually no unscratched bits left.
And people have said they were naff!

My "C" button isn't actually kapputt, per say, it works, it is just doing the same thing as the volume up button does, so it shows the phone status screen when used on the main screen, zooms out when using the camera, and turns the volume up when playing something, lol. Weird.
