*** Offical Dragon's Dogma 2 Thread ***

Am trying to play the 1st run without mods if I can avoid, let's me see how the actual vision of the game is, but on a NG+ run or something I'd not mind modding in some QOL stuff.

Completed this last night, level 50 and about 50 hours in, I didn't get the true ending (won't spoil it for anyone as I did a bit of reading on what it was).

A fun game on the whole but various flaws/issues mean I am not that interested in trying to fully complete every aspect of it.

I will await some patches/updates but may return to it down the line to get the alternate ending and see what changes are like.

I got the true ending and started a new game for scratch. Defo a great game for me all things considered.

Just picked this up and damn is it poor on the technical front.

Performs way worse than it should. Sad to see even picking it up now Capcom haven't really done much.

7950x3D and 4080 here. Using the frame gen mod just to keep framerate above 100.

I agree. After the initial rush of geting a new medival fantasy RPG I'm struggling with it now due to the clunkiness, terrible camera and poor controls

Are you on KB+M? tried it on that for a very small amount of time but moved to controller and found that works fine control wise with a little bit of remapping.

I need to get back into this. Got to the Volcanic area and transitioned to a magic archer.

I then revisited fallout 4 with a few mods thanks to @Neil79 and got stuck into that.

I wish I could just start a game and finish it.

I've done the same thing, between Fallout 4, Dragons Dogma and Ghosts of Tsushima I can't finish any of them. I've just started playing Escape From Tarkov too. I really need to knuckle down and actually finish a game

The latest patch is supposed to tackle the CPU hogging town area. I was going to give it a quick look but apparently I completed the game and stopped at the new game+ so I'm back in the initial "gaol" :o

I might have to pick this back up, I stopped playing in the hopes of upgrading my CPU but decided to hold out for the next Intel socket. If the CPU hogging is fixed I might not need to.

Isn't there currently a free 2 hour demo of the main game? Could be useful to test out performance if anyone is worried. I'm only my laptop at the minute which might be OK but I'd prefer to use my main PC when I get back home.

Looks like digital foundry touched upon it in their weekly video and hinted at a more detailed video coming soon. The run down looked to be minimal % gain in performance with a high end setup, but that stuttering and the general feel in populated areas was improved.

I made it back to the capital area and it isn't 100% stutter free but a lot improved over the state it was at launch. That said I probably won't continue to play. NG+ is just the same thing except super easy mode being level 60.

So, anyone still playing this? And anyone got any good pawns around level 60 to share?

Whilst I am still diappointed they didn't do more with the great systems in this game, I've been totally hooked for a while now. Really liking the way the dynamic world sets up the odd memorable chaotic melee.

Finally settled on a magick archer again, just liked I did in Dark Arisen. Though I really like thief and mystic spearhand too.

Great fun.

I completed this month's ago and really enjoyed it, Magic Archer build also.

I actually have the Unmoored World to finish but gave up and moved on.

Will revisit one day
