***OFFICAL*** Left 4 Dead Thread!

Have noticed a load of you have added me (carrot1401) but just wanna point out I can't play games online at the mo Brought L4D cause TF2 and CS:S work online at uni halls, yet L4D gives me a 'failed connection after 10 tries' everytime the match is loaded. Guessing there's an extra port that CS:S and TF2 don't use which is blocked

Known issue if you look on the stream forums, there are HUGE amount of bugs with the game and the dedicated server. Until these are resolved I can see most servers being poor.

Server Issue :

1. If you host a dedicated server on a seperate box on your LAN and use NAT you cannot create a lobby and use your own server

2. Servers will lose VAC authentication after map changes sometimes. = dead server until reboot

3. The matchmaking system is complete crap and causes a lot of issues with the dedicated server at the moment.

I have just added you mate, i will be on between 6 and 7 i reckon until, well, basically till we beat Dead Air on expert (could be a long night )

I would also like to try beat dead air on expert too. After playing it for a bit last night (was my first time on expert) i realy want to try it again. The challange that expert perovides is insane, and it is fun trying to do everything perfectly to survive (or like last night, die every time )

Just completed Dead Air - my first full campaign

That was probably the best 90 minutes of my life

Tip for anyone attempting Dead Air stage 3 of 5, after trial and error we found placing petrol cans inside a small room with everyone in and then setting them off is in fact a bad tactic.

Not sure how far you guys managed to get after i left, but after several hours we couldnt get past stage 3 of 5 so i had to call it a night. If anyone here has managed to do dead air on expert, any tips would be very welcome.

Sorry, realise that wasn't a very useful comment

A few more weapons actually would be a bit nicer. Just for a bit of variation, though you can have a lot of fun just playing around with the various gas cannisters/petrol cans/etc.
