***OFFICAL*** Left 4 Dead Thread!

I also just got the stuttering, I dont think its to do with our systems, cause it plays smoothly most of the time.
 
played briefly on my media centre pc (only a hd2600pro), game crashed after seeing this big fat zombie (about 2 mins)

so i played TF2 for an hour, then went to bed

will give it a proper run on my gaming pc tonight :)

I'd have thought it'd be the group.

Either way, we don't want this thread locking so we should probably avoid discussing it - the mods are a bit more hot on piracy talk than they were a short while ago (which is a good thing).

Buy it retail?

As much as I love the demo, saving a tenner and getting it a week later is definitely the better option :)
 
ai handles actually well if u play normal level maybe u will get away on advanced with them but not on expert ;)


played few hours with friends on expert and it was great hard but fun

I meant pre-load the demo, clocking on the link does nothing, even though I only want to pre-load the demo for when it is available to everyone.

I will be buying it retail :) I'm not going to buy something for £35 or so when I can get it for just over £20.

Prices are ridiculous on STEAM lately, look at COD4 for god sake, its still $60.
 
Had my first game with Markopolo earlier during my lunch break. It was awesome fun, something really special about the game and was very challenging on expert.

Having read up on it all beforehand, I realised I'd forgotten everything and so alerted the witch a couple of times. I've learn't that its really key for someone who spots a boomer, smoker, hunter or witch to say where they are, otherwise it's very easy to be quite oblivious to their exact location.

Twice throughout the game I seperated from the team and hung around looking at writing on the wall and the environment etc. BOTH of those times it felt like the game spawned a smoker purely because of this reason and I was killed as my teammates were unaware of my plight. It pays to stick together ;)

I love the auto shotgun, the normal pump shotgun is really quite rubbish I felt.

try playing on vent with a few mates, its so much better :D

Done expect a good few times now. Cant get enough of this, and the director AI is awesome
 
ah this game is immense fun even with strangers on your team.. replaying the same two maps over and over is as gripping as the first time!!
 
Yeah, so, I caved and preordered it and downloaded the demo today.

Must say after playing it with some friends and some randoms its pretty damn good. Anything before hard is a little yawn unless you are playing with newbs.

First impressions are; its great fun, nice looking and keeps me going back to play the small two level demo.

So yeah, can't wait for the full thing where you can be on the "horde" side too controling the bosses. That will be some awesome fun!
 
well just ordered it from retailer , i will just have to wait for the demo ..... but i have not heard any bad comments , unlike farcry2 !

The only saving grace is a bought farcry2 on disk rather than digital download , so i have sold it on to an unsuspecting mug!

Also lets you see why valve give out a 2 level demo , but you have to buy farcry2 to play the game , and find out you wasted £30

i cant wait!
